Ok System, Lame Games
PostedApril 16, 2011
I've had the DSi for almost 2 yrs, and all I have are 5 games on it. The reason I got it was that my DS Lite started to slowly desinegrate from the years of playing games. Most of the games on this system sucks, and so many adults play this system daily. I rarely play DSi, and many times thought about selling it. It functions great, and you also have the ability to take pictures and get on the internet. I dont know what Nintendo is thinking about making the 3DS, but dont trade DS for that 3D @#$*, you might regret it.

Ok, but a LOT of flaws.

Well, the interface and hardware are near perfect. The new menu is awesome. The camera is average (maybe a megapixel), but there has to be a BOATLOAD of light to get a smooth update rate. I love the Facebook uploader option. The touchscreen is VERY responsive. The touchscreen interface is ok. In some games it's a little weird and awkward. Now, some of the BAD. The internet sometimes doesn't like to connect right. It'll get full bars for like, a second, then it'll disconnect. Another thing I HATE is that it doesn't have Flash Player, and it only has Java 1. The 133 MHz processor is wonderful, but I think it has a lot more potential. I also don't like how wi-fi is your only option for internet. With the 133 MHz processor I think the Dsi could handle a bluetooth tethering option like the PSP Go.
Overall, the Dsi is a good system, but it could've benn SOOOOO much better. Hopefully the 3DS lives up to IT'S potential. The picture is a picture I took with the Dsi's camera.

When this came out I was absessed with getting one and I did. Really it wasn't worth it but it is a BIG step from the ds lite.I would really recommend this but now with the 3ds coming out, if you're tight on cash, and want something fun to do, get this! It will soon be great fun at an affordable price.Set the fact that the 3ds is less than a month away from its launch date, and look at what it has to offer.First, it has a decent amound of new features. But those of you who still have your ds or ds lite, don't be worried. All the ds games that are coming out will still work on your ds. Some of the features of the dsi are : inner and outer facing cameras, dsiware ( A.K.A the app store for your ds ),new UI, sound application, and much more. One of the only cons I can think of is the fact that the dsi doesn't have a GBA slot. Thats not a problom when you think about it. You can just go to gamestop and buya gameboy advance or advance sp for close to nothing. But really, it's just an upgraded ds. But don't get me wrong, this handheld is WAY better than the original ds. Like I said, if your tight on cash and want some cheap, long lasting entertainment, either go with gba, psp, ds, or this. I would recommend that you either buy a psp or this though.
