This game is perfect for: casual gamers
I'm a big racing game fan, and all I can say is...this is a very well made game! Super fun! I'm so glad I bought this, it's definitely worth every penny! Don't settle for Need For Speed when you have Forza... It has great customization, unlike the new NFS series... It's fun just to build your ideal ride! Although it could use a bit more racing decals.... but whatever to that, the game's way to good to even worry about that. The graphics are nearly perfect, the gameplay is very smooth, & the sounds of the motors are on point. If you love customization, joy riding, racing, etc...then I recommend you go purchase this game now!!! Have fun!

This game is perfect for: casual gamers
This is the best game ever made. The graphics are unbelievable, the cars are faster, the open road city landscape is awesome, free cars when you find barn finds, and there is a bunch of new cars. I like that you get to drive on the open road in Colorado with super fast cars that you can top out at 230 mph on the highway. You get to buy whatever car you want to at the auto show and then you can race them. This forza is completely different than forza 4 and is way better. Forza 4 is just strictly racing. With horizon you get to pick from a variety of races on your wristband level and is more of casual gamer game than a super hardcore gamer game.

I just recently bought Horizon, and I had a lot of doubts about it. I thought Forza should only be made for professional racing, not street racing. I can honestly say that Forza Horizon is one of the best street racing games I have ever played. If you are thinking about getting this game, GET IT!

This game is perfect for: casual gamers
Need for Speed meets Forza. An excellent game. Hardcore Forza players may not like Horizon because of the lack of cars (by quit a few) and the more arcade style racing. But racing game lovers, such as myself, enjoy the stunning open world game play, beautiful cars, and the same level of customization and upgrades as in the previous Forza games. The graphics are almost perfect, there are a few glitches such as the damage and the occasional invincible bush. Sound is flawless, great engine sound and soundtracks. The replay value may fall short tho. But overall a great game. A must have.

Ok forza dropped forza 1 way back in 2004 and it was decent not as good as gtr4 but decent . then they drop 2 in 2006 decent not as good as gtr5 but decent . so then forza motorsport turn 10 and Microsoft studios has had enough of being worst than gran turismo. they make forza 3 which is better than gtr5 and then forza 4 which is even better than 3 . but now they outdid themselves they went for a need for speed arcade approach and my oh my did it work out im so impressed the graphics everything is flawless. its amazing . its out of this world . one of the best racing games of all time . racer of the year by far don't get all the hate about it . I guess people were expecting a forza like the others which this is far from . great game a must buy

This game is perfect for: casual gamers
This game is incredible with good sound, beautiful graphics, and addrenaline pumping gameplay. The only problems are the lack of split screen and I was expecting drag races. But the biggest problem of them all is the huge lack of cars in the game. The other Forzas (1 through 4) have had a ridiculous amount of cars, but this has nothing compared to those. The cars that should've been in the game without packs or specials are: More corvettes, Pagani Huiyara, Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, Porsches, Mercedes SLR Mclaren, SLS AMG, Aston V12 Vantage, the new Vanquish, Mclaren F1, Koenigsegg CCX, CC8S, Cobra 427, and the Vauxhal Bautrust. I am disappointed in Forza and if the gameplay wasn't so good, I would've given this game a 7.

Before I start this review, let me just start by saying that I would actually give this game a 9.5, but since that isn't an option, I rounded up instead of down. Also, for those of you who are tired of reading, and trying to make a quick decision before heading out to buy it or not, I'll list the bad stuff first. First of all, the number one complaint that I saw here before I bought the game is that there is a big lack of cars in this game as opposed to Forza 4. This is true, but compared to other racing games out there, (mainly NFS), there are still more cars in this. It is a bit dissappointing, I must admit, but they do everything else so well that I can easily forgive it. The other complaints that I read all fall under one category: this is not a racing simulator like Forza 4. Once again, this is true, it is not a PROFESSIONAL racing simulator. It is, however, a simulator of a different assortment, and that is a street racing simulator, which it does better than any other game in my opinion. Sure, there aren't any more real race tracks, and there is no longer a way to tweak your car's tire pressure and such, but those were hardly factors for me, who in real life know next to nothing about working on cars. What you get in return for not having those features is an experience like no other. It makes you feel like you're right in the middle of a constant party that's all about cars and awesome music. This game is clearly aimed at a younger generation than the last installments in the series, which is why it is understandable that some people did not enjoy it as compared to Forza 4. But for me, a 23 year old guy who enjoys electronica, dubstep, and nice vibes, it's perfect. Also, if you are searching for a game that you can pour countless hours into, this is one of those games for sure. If anyone else on your friend list has the game, any time they beat one of your speed trap records, or other records, it will send you in-game mail informing you of such, and you can spend upwards of an hour trying to beat their record without even noticing. My favorite thing about this game is just driving around the roads in fast cars and just nearly missing random traffic. It feels great. I could just drive around town for hours. One last thing, some people complained about the audio of the cars? I don't know what they were talking about, because they all sound great to me, and I watched a video where they actually held the microphone up to the muffler of a car just to be sure it was authentic for the game. Maybe these people don't have a Turtlebeach headset? Lol. Anyways, highly, highly reccommend this game if you enjoyed Forza games, the OLD Most Wanted, or Underground 2. Orrrrrrr if you just wish there was more dubstep in video games. Just sayin'.

I got to say, I also have seen a big lack of cars on Forza. Luckly, the good gameplay saved Forza from me giving it a 7 because of the lack of cars. Have any idea on what FM6 will be like.

Forza Horizon is what you get when you combine festivals and open road racing. It is suprisingly a good combination. As one would think, Horizon is centered around one thing, open road racing. You can't get more realistic in an open road racing game, the graphics are just sweet.
You will experience something called wristbands. You get a higher level wristband every time you earn the given credits. Characters appear throughout every race, and I have to say it gets annoying. the extra fluff just waists your time. That does not mean you shoudnt by Horizon, it is a great overall game.

In my opinion after play forza 4, they ruin the whole concept and history of the game, however everybody will have different opinions about this point, just dont feel the same as forza 4, the history of the game has been race cars in a professional level and i feel like forza 4 was a 100% simulation of that idea, from the large selection of cars to start the game to the selection of the most famous professionals racetracks in the world forza 4 really feels like you are playing a PROFESSIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP in the game, compare with horizon the history change to be more like STREET RACING THING, but far for being realistic and professional, if you really think about it when did you see a professional driver or any famous champion driven a ferrari or lamborghini in the streets driving like crazy jumping stop signs to get in the next level or racetrack of the championship, the answer is NEVER because a professional driver knows better the difference between drive on the racetrack racing a championship and drive in the streets being a normal driver where traffic laws needs to be respected. In real life a professional driver will get his competition car on a tow truck to be delivered at the garage in the racetrack and start the practice and record times in safe conditions in the racetrack, the competition car will never drive in normal streets with normal traffic and as a professional this driver doesn't need to PROVE ANYTHING in illegal street races, so my personal opinion about horizon is THANKS TO THE CREATORS OF THE GAME, YOU JUST RUIN THE REAL THING FORZA HAD DIFFERENT THAN OTHER RACING GAMES.
Now about the game as well, graphics are ok but not really that great, if you compare the graphics of the cars with forza 4 and horizon for some reason the same car in forza 4 looks better than horizon, for example if you get the driver view in the game and you compare this view in both games forza 4 and horizon you will see how the driver view in forza 4 looks more realistic than forza horizon, also when you are doing upgrades to the cars and buying tires and rims put attention in the graphics in forza 4 and compare with the rims and tires of forza horizon they just dont look the same, the sound is pretty much the same and they improve the music but graphics are not that great, and in general after some time playing the game doesn't feel that great as forza 4, so overall rating, this game will never be better than forza 4, i will keep playing it but not as my favorite game and probably will end trading this game for other.
