Gamestop Neshaminy sucks. Someone obviosly bought it for their 8 year old son and he broke it. As soon as I straped it in and pressed the button it snapped off and went flying. Upon further investigation, It looked as though the previous owner had glued it back together and returned it.

I first saw this on the Assassin's Creed Facebook page, and I instantly knew I wanted one. For all the things they did have, I'd never seen a hidden blade replica on the UbiWorkshop, and this was the first replica I'd seen under $200+. I'd been hoping to start on an Ezio costume for some time now, and this seemed an easy way to get the hidden blade component. It blends beautifully with my costume, and is very easy to operate in the way seen in the game. All in all, I only have two critiques and one warning of the item. First, there is not an easy way to store the blade without putting a strain on the springs or bending the blade other than the original packaging, so don't throw that out if you want your blade to last. Second, the straps to mount the blade do not seem to be very durable, as the strap closest to the wrist on mine has already started to fray where the cloth strap and the velcro pad meet. However, my blade was worn by at least fifteen different people within the first two hours, so wear and tear was accelerated on my gauntlet. The damage I've noted is simple enough to fix if you can sew, and I haven't noted any other damage to mine, and I've worn it quite a bit in the past two months. I'm seriously considering buying a second one for myself, and maybe a third as a gift for a friend. One warning I cannot stress enough is to utilize the locking mechanism. It's located at the back of the blade portion, and *it is your friend*. When my gauntlet first came out of the box, the tip of the blade was highly pointed, and the spring action is powerful enough to startle everyone in a room. (true story) These combined with the fact that the button release is fairly sensitive mean that *you can be injured by this blade* and quite seriously. People were so excited by it when it first came out of the box, we didn't even see the warning labels. (No one was hurt, thankfully)
With that, I give my highest recommendation for this well-made replica.

i'm going 2 add a real blade to it. less than 2" so its technically legal where i live. i also am going 2 make it so it locks when it comes out so it will be fully functional and able 2 put it back in.
