Pros:
-It Glows!
-Better Then a Turtle beach
-Has good Bass and surround sound
Cons:
-Doesn't work with mic chat and the game music at the same time for Wii U.
-Supposed to be a update but still hasn't come out for the system yet and Nintendo said "only registered game headsets can support it.

After spending about 140-150 dollars on a turtle beach wireless headset that broke in less than 5 months I bought this set. Great price for a wireless set. Good for playing games or watching movies for 4-6 hours at a time with minimal discomfort, except what is to be expected from wearing a headset for an extended period of time. Fairly good audio when I need to be quite and can't play my Bose home theater. Good battery life on a single charge/quick charging. Overall a great buy.

The reviews for this pair of headphones had me pumped to go buy them! But unfortunately getting home to use them was the biggest mistake ever. Here's why: They are extremely tight on the head, even with the soft ear padding it was still uncomfortable. Did a mic test, lots of background noise. And here is the best part; I couldn't adjust the sound on the headset. Let alone I couldn't get it to work without having one of those stupid adapters for audio. And even then, i couldn't adjust the sound, no matter which dial i spun, it stayed the same. Taking them back for Turtle CrapBeaches.

Well I am a big guy I am very tall really round head. The top piece of clear plastic would be the wrost. And to solve all your static probs with this head sets its just you have it on to much to the gamming side of to the chat side I fixed it today. It is really good. I really didnt like the guy that sold this to me they didnt even ask me for the color I wanted. Everything else was fine easy to setup. Took me 2 mins to figure it out. Its really nice overall. 1 tip if you are really loud put some cotton over your mic it helps reduce the pain you give to your friends ears when you talk.

Did you buy this product for yourself or someone else? For me
So to start this off I will first say i am a huge fan of Triton headsets. I have used all different kinds of Triton headsets, both wired and wireless to include the Triton warhead. I did enjoy their base model wired and I love the warheads. But alas how many people have $300 to spend on a gaming headset. Now as i said i am a huge Triton fan, but the after glow universal wireless headsets are a notch above in almost all categories.
I have had many problems with the mics from turtle beach so we won't even compare those. Instead i will compare the Triton primer to the afterglows. Both roughly the same price depending on the day. Triton's i think are a bit cheaper usually though. Anyway, back to the comparison.
Triton's are known for their sound quality and i agree they are very good on most models but the primer is not one of those. For general non-fps shooting games it is fine, but when you get into a heavy firefight you will notice a lot problems with the clarity of the sound. It is as if the headset is having a hard time keeping up with all the gunshots going off from multiple players. if you don't play fps then you're fine but if you do this poses a problem. it becomes harder to hear your surroundings clearly. Now the Afterglows on the other hand have great sound quality regardless of the style of game play. With the three audio modes it is really up to the gamer. I personally have found the true audio to be the best of its options. Now i have found a downside to the afterglows as opposed to the tritons IMHO. The tritons have two individual controls for the game audio and the chat audio. A nice easy to figure out feature. The afterglows have general volume control for the headsets and an audio balance control, meaning you can set the volume to a specific level and it will never get louder unless you change the volume. the balance control changes the balance of your overall volume between chat and game sound. It takes some time to get used to but it works pretty darn well. Still it is different. On that note i have discovered that after you power down what ever gaming system you use it will sometimes have a problem where the audio settings you had set prior to the shutting down will still be there but they will not change when the controls are used when reconnected to the system. This has an easy fix. Simply restart your headsets (power off then back on) and your problems magically are fixed. Crazy right.
Now on to the mic's. They both have mics and they both work. The triton primer has a hard time staying connected though. I got a lot of chat cutting out while i was using the headset. It might have just been the one i purchased or it may have been something else. Bottom line, mine had problems right out of the box. The afterglows have a different problem. The mic (at least the one i own) is very sensitive. Mind you my gaming station is in a section of my basement where there is no finished walls. So the concrete may be causing my voice to ricochet more than normal. Regardless i have to whisper to keep my chat voice from sounding like i am screaming into the mic when it is in its intended postion. My voice also projects a lot as it is so my problems become more pronounced with overly sensitive mics. There is a solution though. bend the mic as far back around as you can so it is facing away from you and it is clear as day and it doesn't sound like you scream at your tv all the time when you are losing horribly.
Range for the tritons is as advertised. The afterglows depends on your house. If you have an old house with lead paint, it drops to about half of what is advertised. Still that is more than the tritons.
Now last but not least i will talk about comfort. This is where the afterglows really beat the tritons. Unfortunately the only comfy pair of tritons i have worn are the warheads. I have big ears and most of their headsets only have 40mm speakers, thus they have smaller muffs. Also the band that connects the speakers compresses after a short time(45min or so) and starts to become uncomfortable. But the warheads don't have small speakers or muffs and don't have the comfort issue with the band. The afterglows have bigger speakers and a wider band connecting them. Much more comfy, especially for long periods of wear. The muffs on both headsets could use some extra fill IMO but that's because i have big ears. That's where my garbage turtle beach headsets come in. With a little effort you can get your turtle beach muffs onto the afterglows and it makes a world of difference. 50mm to 50mm.
Overall my choice but a pretty good margin is the Afterglows. I didn't mention a lot of the extra features of the afterglows because it would have made it harder to compare to other gaming headsets. So basic use with your system(mine is the xbox). Hope you found this useful. Enjoy gaming everyone.

I love this headset. It looks pretty cool, it's easy to use, and it is worth the price. I will make a follow-up review in a few weeks but for right now here is what I like about it; The sound quality is great. I can leave my house and still hear my game. The padding is comfortable. The only headset I have used that is better is the Tritton AXPRO headset.

I've had my headphones for about 2 months and am extremely pleased with the purchase of these headphones. I was actually debating between this and the TurtleBeach XP400. I almost bought the XP400 (on sale at the time) until I found in the small print on their site the Bluetooth radio is mono only. Many people seem to complain about the need of the cable for XBox Live and blame it on the headset manufacturers. This in fact is a fail on Microsoft's part as the only way around it is to have a Bluetooth transmitter to connect to the controller. It seems Microsoft may be working on this as I've noticed my speaker icon indicating I'm speaking without the cable. Only cons are the need for a cable to connect to a cell phone/music player and the fact it dosn't "remember" your settings (e.g. light settings and audio enhancement mode). A way around the cell cord thing is to buy a portable cell phone charging battery/booster battery with a standard USB port then at least you don't have the cable between the headphones and your music device.

Overall, the headphones are sweet. I am a video producer and audio engineer, as well as an avid gamer. I wanted something that would give me clear audio and booming bass. These work fantastic for picking up enemy footsteps or for EQ'ing your bass guitarist. They will rattle your eardrums and rock your socks off. My fellow audio engineers and gamer friends are astonished by the overall quality and mesmerized by the wireless and universal capabilities. I traded up from Turtle Beach px21's that I used for a day an could not stand the background noise and electrical feedback. They do lack comfort for larger heads due to the lack of adjustability; however, it is nothing unbearable. If you want quality prosumer headphones to give you an edge, or to crank your music, then these are for you.

Did you buy this product for yourself or someone else? For me
I bought these simply because they have wireless capabilities and they are rechargeable. The setup is simple, nice, and easy. and even if you aren't good with wires or setting stuff up, theres a really simple step by step guide to help you..................What a really liked about them was the sound quality and the retractable mic, also the three setting for bass, surround, or basic sound is actually i very nice quality, i enjoy listening to the big booms when playing battlefield, but then i can switch over to surround when awareness is the key, like in dead space, or when playing online. also the charge duration on them is awesome and only requires a mini usb cable to charge. it also comes with a auxiliary cable that you can plug into the headset and then plug the other end into things such as your ipod.................... what i didn't like about them was the mic for me was over sensitive, it would pic up someone in the other room doing dishes, or simply my cat meowing 20 feet from me. also sometimes the mic wouldn't work at all, and my friends couldn't hear me, which was usually fixed by turning them on or off or by unplugging the headset cord and plugging it back in. Also if you have big head as in like the "one-size-fits-all" hats fit everyone but you (like me) you will find that the headset is uncomfortable and will put a lot of pressure on top of your head. Also my headset would randomly set off a tone really loud for about 3 seconds, then turn off, and then turn back on randomly like nothing happened. and it did this multiple times within the 3 weeks i used them. Also if you charge the headset while talking to your friends online it will hum and your friends will hear it also, and it is annoying, and its really bad if you are also charging your controller at the same time. All in all its a nice headset, it just wasn't the one for me, i would recommend this for people, unless they had big heads. then id point them to a tritton headset or something else.

This is the first headset I've used, and so far the sound quality is pretty good. I purchased them because they were supposed to be wireless. Unless I'm doing something wrong, the only way I can get the chat to work is plugging the headset into the wiiu remote. I get game sounds but no chat "wireless". If there is something I'm missing or not doing any help to get them to work completely "wireless" would be welcomed.

(The "***" are to separate my paragraphs, I wanted to make this review straight forward)***Pros: -Works on Xbox 360, Ps3, PC, and mobile devices -Pretty sturdy -Clear sound -Inexpensive for a Universal headset ****Cons: -It will heat up your ears -Looks like a blue rainbow on top of your head -You'll need an adapter if your tv doesn't have audio OUT plugs (Red/white plugs) and a headphone jack. -Pretty heavy, it'll hurt your neck at first but you'll get used to it -It doesn't look pretty professional -The mic makes you sound like you're on a megaphone -Very bulky ****Overall, its a great headset. I'd rather slap in $50+ extra dollars for some Turtle Beaches because they're a lot better. But if you don't want to spend that extra money, then get this if you like.

At the time if purchase I was between a few different pairs of headsets... TurtleBeachP11 and BeatsByDreStudio....the sales rep could of easily up sold me to the $299 Beats headphones but instead recommended the limited edition $99 afterglow headsets.....they are fantastic!!! They look great and sound amazing...not to mention they are compatible with almost anything.....I would recommend these to anyone who wants high quality headphones without paying an absurd amount of money!! I'm on the ps3: JPark3r45....hit me up if you have these headphones on SoE or if anyone wants to get whooped in any games lol

Wearing this headset for more than 20 minutes made my ears sore and hurt for a while, as their is no adjusters for your head, if you dont have the perfect head size, it will make you hate every second of wearing these. If you have glasses to do not get this as the idiots that designed this will make your glasses squish into your skull. The audio is semi decent, its barely better than my Apple earbuds. The mic works okay, but the is a light on the end of it that is so freaking distracting that you have to twist the mic so its under your chin almost, which makes it hard for people to hear you. All in all this is the worst headset I have ever bought, a $20 xbox headset would've probably been more comfortable, planning on getting skullcandy SLYR's after I return this garbage, as I can always rely on Skullcandy.

My son was tired of not having a headset. Found this headset right before christmas. Purchased it for his Wii, this product is AWESOME!!!! works so good. He can walk thru the house and still talk on the game to his friends. This was the best money i spent on the headset. Well worth the amount. I am looking at getting another set. This is soooo universal took the cord for the computer and i was able to talk on the web cam. I would recommend this head set to anyone, who wants a good headset and clairity is perfect. hearing and speaking
