Broke after 3 days of use.

These headphones have great audio quality. The problem is, the headband construction is wrong. The plastic that they use is too rigid. So when you take off the headset, it will eventually break. There is no flexibility like with other headsets. It looks like they havent changed the design or construction, which is why its $5 now. It may be worth buying it for that price and just make your own headband for it.

I'm more than happy!

Just picked these up yesterday with some store credit that I had they are on sale for $16, reg price $60 I had to try. Long story short after coming out of pocket $8, I am more than satisfied with my purchase. They are on about the same level as my Sol Republic Tracks V8s that I have for a fraction of the price. They also have a mic so that I can talk on the phone between songs. If you can get your hands on these, they are definitely $16 well spent for some quality headphones with quality sound with amazing highs, mids, and lows. A perfect balance of sound without the overpowering bass of Beats. I dare you to compare, you may be pleasantly surprised by these headphones. Not to mention, I have a pretty big head and they fit comfortably around my ears, with excellent noise cancelling and comfort unlike my Sol Republics which hurt after a few hours of listening. To sum it up, great sound, comfort, and overall value. You won't be disappointed.

Quality, comfortable, and affordable

Initially used as a purchase as a tide over headset for the PS4 and Xbox One, the Red Samurai Universal Stereo Headset really sets a great standard when it comes to cheap, yet great sounding headset. Looking at an old price sticker, the headset was originally priced at 59.99. Now sold for 29.99, there is a value that goes beyond top dollar. The headset itself comes with a bag to place it in for safe travel, as the headset folds up. It also includes a seperate 3.5mm headphone jack to plug into the headset itself and into your media device (or in my instance, a PS4 and Xbox One controller). When taking out the headset and putting it on, it fits comfortably around your ears and over your head. It has 9 different adjustment settings, which will surely fit around most heads. The only flaws in it's design are the plastic for the band and the mic settings. There is no in-line volume control and muting so everything must be done from the settings on PS4 or The Xbox Stereo Headset Adapter. Although this was designed for media players such as iPods and and iPhones this is not really an issue and can be worked around to accommodate. The sound quality is absolutely phenomenal for a 30 dollar pair of headphones. All the sounds are distinguishable and the bass isn't too overpowering or muddy. It is also very accurate when it comes to those sounds. During testing, the headset didn't have any flaws or problems with party chator hiccups in sound. All in all, this works great as an entry level headset and works and does a lot for only 30 dollars. Better quality in terms of sound and price when compared to other headphones of a certain overrated music celebrity.

Great audio...terrible design

I bought this pair of headphones as an impulse buy on my way home from the beach at some random gamestop store near the location my friends wanted to get some food. I drove home about an hour away, tried them out and they sounded great. next morning i use them again and realize there was something wrong with how it was collapsing in too easily. I looked on the right earphone and saw there was a small fragment that cracked away which gave away the rigidity of the right headphone. I went to my local store and got a replacement easily. Tested the replacement and the moment i tried to put them on my head i heard a crack. It was in the same place as the previous one. Drove back again and got a second replacement. To me it seems like an overall product flaw and not just a couple of bad products since the two stores were an hour apart.
