Enemy Front - Appears to be 5 years old already
Location: South Dakota
This game is perfect for: casual gamers
Enemy Front is a World War II first person shooter, set in a mission based world. All missions are in preset maps with everything always in the same location, although there are very slightly different routes you can take, basically just like deciding if you want to wander through a building or not. In the game, you are a journalist who is writing about a resistance fight against the enemies, and basically become a leading effort in escaping enemy territory. It sounds pretty interesting actually, but the bland-as-can-be voice acting and terrible animations make it boring as it gets. There are also only like two songs through the entire game, and gun sounds and explosions are pretty standard. Gameplay is actual rather awful. Controls start off super touchy and insane, and I had to change the sensitivity. Guns only seem to fire half the time pulling the trigger, and aiming in and out and reloading are really slow and seem delayed. There is no quick hot shot shooting because you can't make the game go quick enough with it's slow movements. There is a multiplayer, and although the game is brand new, is near completely dead. You'll be waiting 30 minutes for a match or maybe start a private match with others who just want to get a game going. There is no type of skill advancement or customization in this game, just pick your weapon and fire, if the game lets you.
Pros +World War II, something different +Recognizable WWII weapons +Story achievements are a reasonable challenge
Cons -Gameplay is rough -Sounds are bland -Graphics are okay -Multiplayer servers are awful -No hit marker reticle -Weapon sway is awful -Multiplayer achievements will take forever to get -Cutscenes chop short and ruins the attempt for drama
Final verdict. Although fully playable, Enemy Front is a mess of slow and choppy controls with bland sounds and lack of drama. Multiplayer is empty and near impossible to find a match. I'm not one to ever recommend back to Call of Duty, but World at War is a much better World War II era video game. There are too many annoying bits about this game.
This game is basically an arcade game on disk... wait until it's $20.00 in a month, then buy it !! It's an OK arcade game, but should not have been printed to disk..... It should have been DLC !! I'm glad I rented it !! The graphics are not much better, or if even better than call of duty 2... The playability is glitchy, and it is pixelie..... The Maps are descent, the idea is there, so I'm going to finish this game..... I think it's worth $20.00 Max... P.S. I haven't found anyone the Multi-Player yet !!

I Finished It.
I finished it. It is a descent size game with areas to free-roam. I like the music in the game, and again, I loved the idea behind it. Through all the glitches, it was kind of fun to play. The graphics made me feel younger again !! P.S. Play it on the hardest settings !!

Got to play it a little!

Enemy Front is a gritty first-person shooter rich in action, combat and detail that takes players back to the carnage and chaos of WWII. In Enemy Front you take charge of their enemy platoons and try to fight the Germans back. This game has been regarded as a combat sandbox, by the developer, having the freedom of choices in how you fight back in your game play. What it does is give you the tools to either have a stealth approach or shooty one, with a shooter game, combining run and gun gameplay and/or dirty tricks-type stuff. So if you do like military shooters like CoD &/or BF & like the historic WW2 genre, with a pinch of World of Tanks added for spice, that's what you'll get here!

Early play looks promising

but this game will have to do a LOT to differentiate itself from the slew of WWII-era shooters that are already here. With such a rich history (Call of Duty, Medal of Honor, Sniper Elite) of war games of that ilk it is difficult to foresee what this game can offer that those couldn't. I understand that the Cryengine is being used in this title, so the explosions and scenery will undoubtedly be very pretty, and early reveals have shown a shooter with a flexible approach (stealth vs. shock & awe); the release date has been moved to early 2013, so I guess we'll get a look sooner than later regarding multiplayer development and campaign insight. I just wonder if the niche it seeks to fill is actually there ...
I have not seen the game play for this game but by the looks of it i definetly DO NOT see this game as being a rivally towards CoD or BF. this game from what i've seen looks ok the graphics are ok ,and from the pictures it doesn't seem like the kind of game you'd get sucked into. to sum it up i wouldn't pre order this . CoD or BF are well worth the 65 bucks , this game isn't the type to spend 65 bucks on . this is the type of game you'd wait until it goes down to 20 bucks or 15 maybe, and then soon after return it after you pass it . Just my thoughts.
