Amazing System, but some flaws.

I love my Wii U so much! Nintendo is finally doing something right. This is a great system, but, when the system updates it takes WAY TOO LONG than it should. Besides that, i love my Wii U :)

Works great!

The system is sleek looking, the option to play games on the tv or the gamepad is great. The new features work great and having high definition is a huge plus. I can't wait for a new Legend of Zelda/Metroid game.

Truly a console for the ages.

This is by far the best improvement I have seen from nintendo since the N64. This is, in every way, better than the original Wii. Better graphics better online and more hardcore games. Nintendo was doing a great job with their exclusives on the wii like Super Smash Bros, MarioKart, Zelda Skyward Sword, Metroid Prime 3 and Other M, and numerous others. That is what made the Wii so Successful. Now they have games like Assassins Creed, Mass effect, Battlefield, and ZombiU that is attracting more hardcore gamers to their market. If Ninendo keeps this up they will continue to stay ahead of their compitition. You also have to give them credit for keeping their online free. All the PS fan boys brag about PSN being free, and don't get me wrong they have the right to, but Nintendo Network is also free. Thats right Xbox your ALONE! Overall this is perfect for both hardcore and casual gamers and is by far the best console on the market with free online and has great games for all kinds of gamers.

Yes, and it is only going to get worse when PS4 comes out, but this is still a great system and maybe Nintendo will lower the price or come out with more bundles.

Sorry

Sorry dude but Nintendo is actually losing money from the Wii U than making money. The Ps3 is doing better with Xbox 360 in the lead. So Nintendo are not ahead of the competition.

I'm Happy I Made This Purchase

I am 17 I have a past of hardcore games on the 360 but I have gotten more into the group gaming and casual gaming scene lately. I wanted the system to have in my family room to play with my friends and family. Here we go with the review: First of all let me just say this. DO NOT BUY THE CHEAPER VERSION. You will be stuck with no memory! This is really a better deal. The system comes with Nintendoland, which honestly, is nothing really special. It demonstrates what the game pad can do and how it can be very annoying if the game designer so wishes. Any way, I have only had a few problems with my system. A few times it has frozen (I don't know if this is a game thing or a system thing.) Once while I was playing Mario and once when I was playing Scribblenauts (both solid titles). The only other problem I have really had is that sometimes on the start up screen where you select which user you will be playing as, it doesn't let me click my profile for a long 5 or 6 minutes. I don't know why that is, but it seems to do it less frequently now than it did a few days into owning the system. Anyway, the Game-pad. The Game-pad is not uncomfortable to use at all. It fits right into your lap and you will find it a breeze to operate. The only really noticeable annoyance is that when there are any more than 1 player, each player needs to take on a different role, which makes taking turns a huge part of local multiplayer. With that being said, there are some games like ZombiU and Nintendoland can be entertaining using the take turns method. (About the only way Nintendoland can be enjoyable). Another huge aspect of the system that I love is Miiverse. It is basically like a Facebook JUST for the WiiU owners! I can be a nerd in public and nobody cares! It's the best. You can post to different "Communities", each one representing a title. If you are stuck, you can post for help, if you are bored, you can draw everyone a nice picture, if you are angry, you can rant. It is a beautiful thing. As for current titles, there are not many that are universally enjoyable. In fact, it aggravates me how little Scribblenauts and New Super Mario Bros U did on the game pad. On Mario, the game pad screen is literally the same thing as the TV screen. and But hey, the system is new. More will come. The HD looks wonderful on these current games and I am SO excited for the future of graphics on the system. Anyway, do not hesitate if you have the cash to make this purchase.
