Jet Grind Radio/Jet Set Radio (Game title in Japan) was one of those hidden gems on the Dreamcast that managed to slip by the radar of a lot of people. However to those of you who have played/seen it and remember it usually only remember positives about it, mainly the soundtrack. What made the game stand out at the time of it's Dreamcast days was the use of cel-shaded graphics used through out the game. Which to this day still look nice. It's not the best but it's still great. Now enough with the nostalgia lets get to the game itself. The story is simple, you begin by playing one of three members of a street crew of skaters named the GG's and you're roller skating around areas tagging them with graffiti as a form of self-expression since it's outlawed. The setting is located in the fictional city of Tokyo-To. The more you progress the more playable skaters you unlock and areas to stake as well. The game allows you to create and get custom tags as well as having a wide selection of defaults. The game is a bit challenging in some parts of the story but doable, also the police that try and stop you from tagging are only a minor nuisance. The music is great. I believe there were one or two songs they were unable to re-license, but most of the old songs are still there. This personally was one of the reasons that I caved in and bought it on Steam, but this is definitely worth the money to relive nostalgia.
