Oblivion is one of the best RPGs to hit any gaming device. This game came out shortly after the release of the Xbox 360. The difference between Morrowind (Elder Scrolls III) on the original Xbox and Oblivion on the then-new Xbox 360 graphics-wise is astronomical. The graphics in this game are great. I have played many characters and hundreds of hours it seems on Oblivion. Skyrim (Elder Scrolls V) is a great game as well, but I personally believe there are more things to do in Oblivion than Skyrim. Both games are great for any RPG lover, but Oblivion is a better game overall than Skyrim in my opinion even if only slightly. Oblivion receives a 10/10 from me while Skyrim receives a 9/10 from me. Skyrim and its current DLC are great and very entertaining, do not get me wrong, but I was expecting much more content from the Oblivion-sequel in its pre-DLC form than what Skyrim presented. Oblivion is a must have game and its DLC, which is included in the GOTY edition, enhances and adds to the already vast amount of content in the pre-DLC Oblivion.

oblivion GOTY edition has come out 3 times now, the original printing of the GOTY edition, the 5th anniversary edition, and finally, this. Why are they doing it AGAIN? Ok so, oblivion is the elder scrolls game before skyrim, it is awesome, and for $20 you are getting about the same content as skyrim, the game is a bit different, but the idea is the same, epic quest and lots of side missions to do. the shivering isles expansion is amazing and is by far the best DLC you can buy for any xbox game. the graphics haven't aged too well but get over it, because you are in a vast open world just like in skyrim. I put 120 hours in oblivion+ shivering isles.
