The new games released on PSP aren't the best but what holds up this portable console are all the old games that were rereleased on it.
The OS is pretty nice, it's very similar to the PS3 but more simple. I don't like the sounds it makes with the disk spinning in the back but it's safe trust me.
If you're looking for a good portable system this would be a good option on a low budget, if you have enough for a 3DS XL, get that.

After owning 6 of them, mainly because of my own faults, dropping them and breaking screens like its nobody's business, I still love the console itself. It's a BEAUTIFUL system, sure, the graphics aren't amazing, but it's better than the Vita, by far. More games, that's it. All it needs to win. BUT, I do recommend that you buy a few memory sticks. The sound is a bit quiet at times, depending on the game you're playing Get some headphones or something, and BAM, problem solved.

There are a good many people who bad mouth this console and I don't know why. I grew up on my Nintendo hand held consoles, but this console is amazing in it's own right. The graphics are very good in my opinion. It's like carrying around a mini PS2. Actually I think some games on this console have better graphics than some PS2 titles. Another feature I enjoy is being able to download and play some of my favorite PS1 games. Nothing beats being able to be on the road and being able to play Crash Bandicoot, Spyro The Dragon, and Medal Of Honor Underground. This handheld has a lot of excellent game choices. Like Medal Of Honor Heroes 1 and 2, Call Of Duty Roads To Victory and many more. There are some pretty solid shooters for this handheld. Graphically this console is excellent, solid sound, easy controls, overall I think this is a good console for any age. Worth the buy!
