Great Console

This console is great even if you started as a Microsoft user on the Xbox 360. Even better if you started with PSN, that makes it better. The console functions correctly, although PSN has some problems from time to time (not a lot.) So, yeah don't spend all your money on Xbox Live Gold meanwhile you can be getting a better experience with PSN. You do need PS+ for most online service (maybe not all.) PS+ but it's worth it. It's worth the search for the console.

The console runs extremely well. Barely makes any noise and doesn't ever seem to struggle with the enormous amount of content on the games. Install times for 40GB games are mere minutes. The problem with the console though is the games, the games currently on this console were ported for previous gen at the same time and thus the games are buggy and not well fitted for this console. Wait on buying the console for more solid games, but definitely get the PS4 if going next gen.

This system is really a Great system. It just came out and these 1st set of consoles already feel and run better than PS3's first set when released in 07'. The interface is very simplistic yet feels,sounds, and runs futuristic. You can now party chat on headsets with friends even while playing different games. You can link your PSN account with your facebook so that you can use your profile pic & name from facebook on your ps4 (i found that cool at least). Navigating the Interface is very easy even from the very first moment using the system. The internet browser runs rather quickly, and looks and feels like you're looking stuff up on an actual computer. The "What's New" section is pretty cool as you can see Friends gaming activity/history/trophy earnings and you can hit the "like" button to like it of course. The Gaming aspect is what stands out for me... The graphics on BF4 and NBA 2k14 (also the graphics on this system in general) are extremely astounding to witness on a console. The load times are improved greatly, the system itself makes no loud sounds when running a game, and the smooth gameplay is evident. The Share Button on the control allows you to share gameplay footage on PSN for everyone to see or Broadcast live gameplay, which is a cool yet complex feature to get used to. What keeps it from perfection to me is the inability to upload personal media to the system, like music,pics,videos,etc. you cannot change background theme or anything. The Control's battery life is inferior to the ps3's dual shock 3. And with it's highly anticipated release, it had very few apps. and noteworthy games to mention. But all in all a great system whether you buy it now or sometime down the road.

This console is just perfect. Only problem is that it comes with a cheap mic that's all but the console itself is outstanding
