This console is excellent as a replacement for the old 360's with the RROD. For the original 360's their hard drive can be used in this system! All you have to do is take the old 360 hard drive out of the protective case and then carefully install it into the new 4gb console.
360 has some excellent exclusives, my favorite to this point being the Gears Of War series. In my opinion the 360 is slightly better graphically compared to the PS3. Although I believe both consoles have amazing graphics, especially when it comes to exclusives!
One thing I can say I find annoying is the fact they are still using the big power brick. Microsoft could have fixed this issue, but they didn't. Heck the Xbox One still uses a power brick!
Overall I like this console and have enjoyed playing it. Also I feel the online experience is better on 360 than PS3. If you are looking to add a gaming console to your collection, then this is a must buy!
I bought my 4GB over the summer. I swapped my old hard drive and placed it in my new console. I don't understand why people are complaining about the design, I honestly think the design is fine and looks nice. The 360 is an excellent choice if you're a hardcore gamer or looking to get into gaming. This system has excellent exclusives, like the Gears Of War series. There are a ton of FPS games for this console, a few amazing ones, and then your mix of pretty good and pretty bad. The controller design is very nice and a huge step up from the Original Xbox. I personally bought myself a recharge kit and bought a battery pack because if you don't get this, you will eat through AA batteries like crazy. So get a battery pack kit, you'll save money in the long run. The graphics on this console are amazing. Some of the games for this console graphically just blew me away on how detailed surroundings, characters, and cut scenes are. This console is a must have!

just bought this Xbox today, cause my other Xbox crapped out on me finally. the only problem I've had with this one is it would freeze up a few times already. could be overheating as I like to play for hours at a time. recommend putting it on a solid table and a small fan pointing at the fan on top to keep it cool while you play.
