A Review: Xbox One Wireless Controller Kit
PostedFebruary 12, 2015
Wireless Controller Build Quality: The controller itself seems to be high quality plastic or resin. The buttons seems to be in great quality as well. By design, the D-pad makes a clicking sound when pressing UP, DOWN, LEFT, or RIGHT. So for some it may or may not be a nuisance. It is not a nuisance to me even though the previous controllers I used from other gaming consoles are quiet-i.e. SNES, Famicom, PS3.
Button Placement: The buttons are placed well that my fingers can reach each buttons easily; I have short fingers. Not much change from the Xbox 360 controller.
USB Charger: A long USB cable. My gripe is the glossy standard-A USB plug. I am not a fan of glossy since it is a fingerprint magnet. The micro-B USB plug on the other end has the nifty LED indicator that is nice to look at.
Battery: Have yet to test on the life of the battery since I only bought it this evening. According to Microsoft's documentation, it takes up to four hours for the initial charge. It has a nifty batter door that looks "invisible". You can replace the battery itself to new fresh compatible rechargeable batteries of your brand choice.
PC Compatibility: This works perfectly well with my notebook after downloading and installing the USB drivers. The installation file is very small so it does not takes a lot of storage space.
Usage: I bought this to be used for when playing PC games on Steam.
You may ask, "Why not get a gaming console instead of a PC?". I only use controllers for arcade, [casual] adventure, and [casual] shooting games. For FPS games, I use keyboard and mouse.

XBOX ONE Controller
PostedDecember 10, 2013
XBOX ONE I love the Kinetics I love the game system, but I dislike the new controllers... I have to admit I am a bigger play station fan but when Xbox slimmed there controllers in made the bumpers and triggers uncomfortable to use.... I have still yet to see what the new PS4 controller feels like but I hope i am not as disappointed in the controller as i am with Xbox it literately was a deal breaker on whether i was going to buy it. Maybe I will later when the price drops a LOT, only for the kinetics though will I buy it.
