I bought this when I bout my Xbox one. I get it home and set it up and set up 2 controllers after placing both on the charger find out only the lower charging port charged. I swapped the controllers to make sure it was not the battery. DONT buy this piece of Junk it is a waist of money.

Don't Understand All The Hate...
PostedNovember 3, 2015
I don't understand all the hate that this item is getting... I've been using this for about 1 year and it works great! Saves tons of money on batteries and gives my wife and I a cool display for our controllers. When you go to put the controller on to charge you just have to be careful and make sure it's on there properly, if not it won't charge...Duh. Maybe some of you just aren't doing it right? I thought it didn't work at first as well until I realized that I didn't have it sitting correctly. You can't just drop it on and walk away... Battery life is excellent as well. You really can't go wrong with this!

Do not buy this

This product is a wash. Please learn from my experience and do not buy this. I did research prior to this purchase, but still ended up grabbing the wrong product. Controllers do not rest properly in the cradle, so you end up struggling to get the batteries to start charging and remain so. Charge indicator lights end up going away after a short time, so you don't know which controller has a charged battery. Also, battery play time seems to clock in around four hours, so even with a second one charging, this product is not a viable option for any serious gamer. Skip.

The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly.
PostedOctober 10, 2015
The Good: It looks good if yours is on display; I do not have the battery life issues that other proclaim; the LED indicators (R/Y/G) are a nice touch for charge progression. The Bad: The controllers can be finicky on reading that they're charging; the contact area for the charging system to align with the battery doesn't seem large enough for a GUARANTEED 'drop-in' charging feel - I often have to play around with my controllers to get them to register; the charging display will let you know that your battery is "too hot" and needs to cool down before charging with the LED indicator rapidly blinking after you set the controller on it - and it actually aligns; do not expect to be able to immediately charge your dead controller for the aforementioned reason - I do not know for sure if it's because the battery is "too hot" from recently being used, but it definitely requires at least 30 minutes to cool down before being able to be docked. The Ugly: The unit puts off A LOT of heat, both when idle and when charging - mine is in a 3' x 3' segment in my solid wood entertainment center standing alone (currently), with the "standard" 2" holes cut at the back for cords and whatnot, and glass doors (that I keep open because of the heat output) and it is ALWAYS warm in there; more-so when the doors are closed. Overall: I own the first 'manufacturing' unit of this generation, as it was pre-purchased to the Xbox ONE launch, and it still works to this day. I'm sure my battery life has decreased, but the longest I'll play is for maybe 4 hours at a time - sometimes longer, sometimes drastically shorter. The only time it dies on me is when I'm playing for more than 4 hours. It works, and until Microsoft actually manufactures a charging stand - like they did for two batteries on the Xbox 360 - I won't purchase another product with an identical function.
