This product does exactly what is supposed to. It simply charges. I have 2 dual-shock 4 controllers and the product charges them when I put them on the dock.

Loose Parts Fall Off

Better than the insignia, but like the Insignia you have to put these little clips on your controller and they tend to fall off and you have to search for them. The Insignia one is particularly bad because the controller sits almost straight up and doesn't always rest against the charging pins well. I have lost my little clip (no clue when and where it silently fell off) and can only charge one controller now. I have looked into these docks and am going to try my luck with the Power A dock. It has no loose clips and has a nice way of clicking on and clicking off.

This is truly a second party product worthy of the PS4, and those are far and few between. I love being able to just drop a controller into it's slot to charge instead of plugging it in. Nice design Nyko.

I ordered it online and it was awesome except for 2 things. So you plug in something into to the charge port so you can just set the controller on the charger. However, the attachment is angled at a very weird way so it was hard to plug into the controller. Second, the plastic housing on the attachment broke within a week, by the way, I've never so much as dropped my controller. I taped it but eventually the wires came out completely and I had to buy a new charging station because there weren't any extra pieces. I'm guessing that in most cases that wouldn't happen, something must of happened while it was being shipped. I would still recommend it to a friend, but don't through your controller
