Excellent for the low price, with one drawback

I bought these thumb grips because of a small tear on the thumb stick of my dualshock 4. Rather than buying a new controller, this was an excellent alternative. They don't raise the sticks too high and for the most part they don't change the performance of the dualshock 4. However, I have one sizable complaint. When I press in either stick to trigger an action such as sprint or melee in FPS games, the rubber on the edge of the grips rub against the case of the dualshock 4. Not enough to get stuck, but it creates resistance when moving the stick left and right. This is only a problem when moving the stick forward and to the sides when it is pressed in (R3/L3). It took some getting used to, but it's not "game-breaking"

I have found that my thumbs started to slip on the Dual Shock 4's Joystick for a couple of reasons. 1) The the stock covering on the sticks has a tendency to come off. 2) Snack foods can get grease on the sticks. 3) Clammy or Sweaty hands 4) For the ladies that game, using hand lotion can cause the sticks be slippery.
To test the grip of the Geltabz. I used a bit of lotion to simulate Clammy or Greasy hands and the Geltabz grips worked great in these conditions. They are a great addition to for anyone that is having any of the issues above. If you are thinking about picking up a PS4 or another Dual Shock 4 these Geltabz should be highly considered. I also prefer the fact the gel pad doesn't have a textured logo on them.
My only issue is that due to the way the grips attach to the analog sticks it can be hard to click the R3/L3 buttons when the sticks are fully extended. This can be an issue with games like Call of Duty or Battlefield were the left stick is almost always extended forward and clicking on said stick causes the player's avatar to run. This can be overcome by a modified technique of not pushing the stick all the way forward.
****These can also be used on all other controllers even though they are categorized for use with the Dual Shock 3 & 4. The same goes for the Geltabz labeled use for the Xbox One and Xbox 360. I mention this in case one option is out of stock ****

as some may know or heard about that ps4 grip rubber damages on the ds4 so i wanted to get something that would be a good fit for me, so i went to best buy 1st and brought another brand which i did like as well but come to find out these were great much more grip to my thumbs

Bought these covers for my two controllers out of curiosity. My controllers weren't wearing or peeling but I wanted some extra grip on the sticks. These covers are perfect. The silicone prevents slipping and the raised bumps allow you to be much more accurate when using the sticks. The covers do add a little height but this isn't a negative. I actually like the slightly added height. In my opinion these look much better then the Grip-It covers. Also they are very easy to put on!

I've owned a ps4 since launch and I currently own two ps4 controllers, one that came with the ps4 and one that was given as a present for my birthday, nov 14th and despite my long hours playing I haven't had an issue with the ps4 controllers until a month ago, when I had let my nephew use one my controllers to play a game with my roommate who also has a ps4, when i got back the controller, i had noticed the left analog stick thumb stick was torn on the side, at first i thought my nephew was being very hard on the controller, then during the Destiny Alpha my other controller did the same and again the left Analog stick, so since i have no desire to dish out 60 bucks for a controller that could have the same issue of easy wear and tear, on the sticks, are the geltabz a good fit
