From the makers of the immensely popular LEGO® The Lord of the Rings, comes LEGO The Hobbit, inspired by the first two films inThe Hobbit Trilogy: The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and the upcoming The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug, productions of New Line Cinema and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures (MGM) as well as the collection of LEGO The Hobbit constructions sets. The interactive game of LEGO The Hobbit allows gamers to play along their favorite scenes from the films and follows the Hobbit Bilbo Baggins as he is recruited by the Wizard Gandalf to aid Thorin Oakenshield and his Company of Dwarves. Bilbo leaves the comforts of the Shire on a journey through Middle-earth to help the Dwarves reclaim their lost Kingdom of Erebor within the Lonely Mountain. Along the way, he is introduced to ravenous Trolls, dangerous Orcs and, of course, Gollum and his precious Ring. Players will utilize and combine the Dwarves' unique abilities - often with hilarious results - to solve the most diverse Quests of any LEGO videogame to date.

A Fun Time, Plenty To Do
This game is perfect for: casual gamers
This is the first LEGO game I have played, so I had nothing to go off of beforehand. As an adult, I must say I really enjoyed this game. I decided to give it a shot and I am very happy that I did. It's a fun game, very entertaining (and silly i.e. Azog's hand). Even after completing the storyline there is plenty to do. I was only 25% complete with the game after finishing the final level. You will need to unlock other characters and items in order to get everything in the game. Overall, I really like this game. It has good entertainment value. Definitely a good choice for kids as well. For those of you giving the game a bad rating due to the fact that it only covers the first two movies, why did you buy it in the first place? They wouldn't release the game covering all three movies if the third movie isn't even released yet. Honestly, it doesn't bother me. I will be purchasing the second game when it's released. On a final note, the DLC packs are very cheap so they're worth picking up. :) Definitely going to buy LEGO LOTR after I'm finished with this.
This game should not be called the 'hobbit' if they werent going to include the entire movie. Only includes movie 1 and 2. Sounds like a money maker to me. They will want us to rebuy the complete game later on and it ain't gonna happen in the household. The game should not be advertised the Hobbit without the entire series. Just my opinion. On the pro side, it is your typical lego game and fun to play, just disappointing when it stops at the end of movie two. (and yes they are finished filming the third movie and have been for awhile)

couldn't agree more
they should've waited until the release of the third movie and built in the rest of the story into the game... kept me from picking this up as well, at least not before it drops in price, which all these lego titles eventually do

Only the first two films @ not the third part?????
Location: Upper Marlboro,MD
Ok so were only going to get the first two parts of this series & not the third part? WTBH???? They do realize there is going to be a third movie seeing as how DOS didnt cover nearly half of the rest of the book like my dad and I thought it would??? I do understand that there isen't a third movie yet to cover in the game but they could take the third act strait from the book instead so the game would be complete instead of going back later and making another Hobbit game!!!!!! That would be a better plan, but whatever im still going to buy it for both the PS3 & PS4 after it comes out I guess!!!!!!!
