This system is such a great upgrade as compared to xbox 360. everything is very crisp and clean and nicely layer out. its easy to use and has so many different features you'll never not have anything to do

Casual gamer point of view
When the xbox one and ps4 first came out i was unsure of which one to buy and was leaning more on buying the ps4 despite owning the previous xbox 360 because of the many negative comments I heard and read about the xbox one. After much research i decided to stick with the xbox and buy the xbox one. This was a great choice and do not regret buying the xbox at all, i am completely happy with my xbox one and glad i chose it over the ps4, MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE XBOX ONE DEFINITELY PROVED WRONG ALL THE NEGATIVE COMMENTS ABOUT IT.
Ive had this console for about 3 months now and im really glad i invested in it without buying the one that includes the Kinect. Personally I think you will do just fine without the kinect as its main purpose is to help navigate through apps through voice commands. Their are games out their that use the Kinect as part of the games like Dead rising 3 and it does not interfere with the gameplay or affect your gaming in anyway if you do not own the kinect. As for performance i would have to give it a 9 out of 10 simply for the fact that their is a bit of lag switching between apps but still works great. Other then that I love the way the Xbox one works and what it offers.multitasking with the xbox one is great! It is truly useful, for instance playing your game and viewing/ inviting players to your party, you dont have to leave your screen or have the party screen block your screen while playing. you can now view other apps by "snapping" them Graphics are clear, Controller feels a lot better then the previous 360 controller. As for the mic i think is also an improvement to the previous one. It now includes volume and mute buttons by the port which i personally like better, sound on mic sounds more clear and louder. Have never had any problems with overheating compared to the PS4 despite playing for many hours, the ps4 heats up easily. Overall the xbox one is great and worth your money, you will not be disappointed, it has many cool features to offer and definitely has a lot of potential to grow even better and the capability to change your mind and prove wrong all the negative comments that many people gave it when it first came out.

Meh... just there... nothing special...

Xbox sense the beginning was just there as an alternate ps2 and game cube. All the games i could get (that I liked) I could get on ps2 and more on game cube. (sonic, mario, donkey kong, zelda, spyro, crash). X box had master chief? Lost interest but kept going to end... nothing special... I coluld just play metroid prime or metal gear (solid) if I wanted pop a few rounds but... Halo... no original stories. At least Nintendo changes things up on remakes, sequels, and originals. They not only enhance, they rebuild and Improve the experience. (And I played all the halo, gears of war games and demo stands in game stops) ps. I bought Xbox one and returned it the same day.

I just bought the xbox one without the Kinect, I have to say, I personally think it is such a great console in more ways then one. the graphics alone are so realistic. I like how the xbox one has no disc tray, it has a suction system. I practically paid nothing for the xbox one, because of all the xbox 360 games I traded in, and 2 controllers. it has only been two days since I bought it and I have been playing it non-stop. the xbox one is the definitely the future of gaming.
