I'm so happy with this upgrade. First off, I've noticed most Xbox one games are 1 or 2 player (splitscreen). We all love to play Minecraft with our buddies, and I was afraid this would be two player only... It's not! We still have four person local splitscreen, although only two if you're online. Total of eight players online. Second, all the purchased DLC packs from the Xbox 360 Edition carry over, for free. On that note, the $5 upgrade was seamless. Third, you may wonder if the game itself is that much better. The truth is, no, it's not. The graphics are a little better I think, they seem a bit brighter; it's just not a huge difference. I haven't tested the online or splitscreen out yet, so I can't testify to lag/no lag, but single-player gameplay is definitely smoother. The chunks load noticeably faster, and I haven't seen any lag while in combat with mobs (like on the 360 when you spam the melee). Fourth, the upload of worlds from 360 to One actually works. It's just a bit slow uploading on the 360, and you can only do one at a time. Lastly, a bunch of achievements have been added. The 360 edition had 420 gamerscore, while the One edition has 1,000. This 1,000 gamerscore includes the 360's achievements, but you still get to earn them all over again.If you had the 360 edition, by all means, buy this; it's only five bucks. If you didn't, I'd suggest trying it somewhere to make sure you like it; it isn't everyone's type of game. If it turns out you like it, the download is only $20, which isn't that bad at all.
