Did Mad Catz make this?

This controller is a joke; it feels wrong in your hands and feels cheap. From first look it looks like it will be ok, cool art and a few different designs to choose from draws the eye; even i was able to forgive the lowered L and R buttons. But once you get it in your hands something feels wrong. Once you start playing you know what it is. The joystick is so bad that it put though the wrong input a lot. After using my friends controller and mine a in a total of fifty matches each the result was staggering. Out of the 100 matches the average about of times the joystick put the wrong direction in was around 14. This might not seem like a lot but the one thing you need form a controller is precision. Plus if you think about it Nintendo is bottle necking the adapters to stores just to boost sales in this piece of trash. DO NOT BUY THIS CONTROLLER!

A Cheap but Effective Quality Play!
PostedOctober 28, 2014
(Specific Score: 8.6/10) License by Nintendo and manufactured by a third-party company called PDP, they produced an alternative controller that can be used to play Smash Bros WiiU, Wii games, WiiU softwares, and many VC games for both Nintendo consoles that is compatible with the Classic Controller Pro. At first glance, it’s an eye-catching appearance because of its incredible front-cover glossy finish of the Mario red theme color with a sweet blue-matte finish at the back. This controller isn't meant to replace or to function precisely as a GameCube controller ; it is a Classic Controller Pro with a GC inspired shape redesign (Does NOT connect the the GC adapter). Pretty much all the functionality and mechanical usage ties in to it. On my first hands on, it felt very comfortable in my hands as it just felt like a GameCube controller. However, its light-weight feel and less durability resulted in a cheap-sense overall finish. But don't let that cheap build quality lure you away. The controller's function and response into gameplay are astounding and excellent overall. I have performed great move-set in Smash Bros Brawl with no issue whatsoever. I experienced no lag, no problem, and no bad response times with the Fight Pad. The WiiU Fight Pad gave me more quality in game-time than I thought. The action buttons, D-pads, and analog sticks offer excellent precise controls into gaming. The right analog stick is easily better to navigate than the C-stick found in the GameCube because they are the same exact shape as the left stick. The analog stick are less resistant feeling quite sensitive but good still. My only complaint so far is the shoulder buttons’ ZL and ZR. Although they offer some nice analog presses which brings reminders of the GC’s should buttons, it doesn’t correlate into gaming that uses it. You must press all the way down to trigger the response because many Nintendo games only use Digital buttons as the mechanism to their software’s. I played several games like Goldeneye 007 Wii, some VC games, and others using the fightpad and I’m glad that it responded well almost to near perfection. This is a great alternative to the Classic Controller Pro that replicates the feel and comfort of a GC Controller. It plugs in to the bottom of the Wii Remote and provides fun gaming. I recommend this controller to many Smash Bros gamers looking for a great alternative controller besides the GC or Pro Controller!

Great Buy

This is a collaboration between PDP and Nintendo, and they came our with a Wii Classic Pro Controller that has a Gamecube design. Now like all peripherals for the Wiimote, the controller is very light, but it feels natural and like the old GC controller with an added extra buttons. The difference of course is the C-stick, instead of a small stick, the size and shape is now like the joystick. The controller can be used with other games from the Wii and Virtual Console which is great.
