Reminds me of how headphones use to be made.
PostedSeptember 27, 2015
I bought this on a whim while I was looking for a headset for my new Xbox One. I was originally trying to decide between the microsoft offering or the Xone from turtle beach. I saw this hanging in the store and after a brief discussion with the clerk, I purchased it. I got It home and hooked it up. I put them on and I instantly slid back into time. My father used to have a pair of headphones that were solid, comfortable and great sounding, these reminded me of those old ears. These go fully over the ear. There is memory foam in the padding so they can get warm, but It didn't bother me in the least. The sound was great, high highs and very low lows. The construction seems quite solid, instead of depending on plastic these use aluminum in the build and definitely seem more robust. The mic is detachable, I would not bother with it. I have seen reviews where this mic can be fragile. Plug it in and leave it in. Don't mess with it. It also has Mic Monitoring, at least on the xbox One. Never had it before, don't think i could do without it now. Braided cable to the controller. It comes with everything you need to use it with your Xbox one, PS4, and PC! It does it all. This is a no frills set of headphones. They work great, they sound great, and I forget I have them on except for the solid build of them sitting on my noggin. No case comes with them, but even without, this is probably one of the best deals on headphones you can get. FYI...HyperX is a Kingston company, so they have been into computers for a long long time. Would highly recommend.

"THE" Best Gaming Headset on the Market

Out of all the headsets I own and/or have tried (Steelseries, Polk 4 Shot, TurleBeach, Tritton, and Atros) The HyperX Cloud headsets are the best. Comfortable for hours of gaming, durable, and the sound they produce are great! For less than 1/3 of the price from some of the competition, this is not only the best deal, but a steal! I would expect these to cost at least $174.99 ~ $200. It may not say compatible with Xbox One on the box, but they are! If you're thinking about getting the Cloud II, the ONLY difference is the USB 7.1 build in sound card and a single 3.5mm cable from the headset as opposed to (2) (mic/headphones)
