Resistance 2 beat FOM in graphics and online play but the storyline fell way short. FOM's storyline was excellent and really got you into the game. R2's storyline is not as strong and not at all as interesting. The graphics are very good and i really enjoyed the many boses scattered throughout the game, unlike in FOM. The challenge level of the story mode is a little easier than FOM, but there are many more varieties of chimera and fantastic weapons that can be used to defeat them. The online play is great with the 60 player battles, but after a few plays it gets old shooting someone around every corner and not being able to use any tactics. The Cooroperative Mode is very fun when playing with friends but can get confusing with strangers. All in all, Resistance 2 and FOM are pretty similar, both very good games.

Resistance 2, the sequal to the one of the greatest hits ever, Resistance FOM (Fall Of Man) is truly amazing. The story line is epic and very lengthy. You are Nathan Hale, a infected soldier. The story line gets challenging often and everything is gorgeous. The graphic is one of the best you'll ever see these days. The characters are very specific and detailed. There are only 2 cons in this game. This game is only like 30% destructible. The weapon wheels are gone. I do miss the resistance weapon wheel but it doesn't affect the gameplay much. The new concepts are still interesting and fun. So I spent like an hour or so in the story mode but i knew that resistance 2 is famous of its power to play with up to 60 player online. So, i started playing online and I was truly Amazed. This was beyond my expectation. There was no lag at all no matter how many people are around you. I think this game is actually tied to COD4 online or it's actually better than COD. With all different classes you can play different every time. Its very exciting to melee other people from behind and stuff. This game does get bloody and gory so.. Just letting you know. There are Co op mode too. 2player offline by split screen and up to 8 people Online. This isn'lt that fun as competive mode but its still fun to have your friend to your side and play. Also the sound is very realistic. Everytime something explodes, you will feel like you are actually in a battle field. One more thing about online, the connection is very very good. Much better than COD4. I never got dis connected in this game. NEVER! But in COD games i got disconnected often. SO GET THIS GAME!!

This is an amazing game, graphics and sound will blow you away. It so much fun, and so intense. You will never want to put the controller down when your in the middle of battling a huge heard of chimera alongside with others in cooperative mode. Competetive is great to, Especialy how you can play as the chimera. That was a nice suprise. The weapon selection is amazing, with different classes and a huge amount of weapons you'll never get bored of the online weapons. Of course the story of the game is important to. Singleplayer is just as amazing. It has all the thrill of online, PLUS the amazing story. This is just an all around great game. The way players depend on each other in cooperative, or the amazing cutscenes in singplayer. This is one of those few games that you know you'll definatley be playing it, this time next year. In my opinion its one of the top 5 shooters for PS3, and probobly just top 5 general games for PS3. One simple way to put it is, Resistance 2 is Halo 3 on steroids.

This game has a great challenge for you. But a challenge that you could pass. Great storyline and easy controls to follow. I was questionable to get this game. I bought it and was blown away. Graphics are good but not great. There is one small flaw that can be solved. The flaw is during gunfights and explosions, you cant hear commands and what to do. But you just turn subtitles on and problem solved. If you like a great all-around game with enough challenge, get this game. Enemy AI is great and so is your team's AI. This game can keep you playing for about a good 8 to 10 hours of gameplay. I have yet to play online but I am sure to try it. Too bad there isn't a co-op campaign for two players OFFline. that would have been great. Some things to improve on if there is another installment, probably graphics.
