Best game I've evere played

I played and loved the first resistance, so I was very excited for the second one. Nearly everything was improved. The only disappointing thing about the game is lack of coop single player, and 4 screen matches. This is still the best game i've every played. The 8 player coop is well done and put together, and each class fells well balanced (but if you are a medic, you are much more likely to get 1st) The 60 player matches are INSANE! It does not at any point feel crowed. It is a bummer you cant find any ranked games in the custom game section. I wanted to beat the story mode quickly, so I played it on easy, but even on easy, this game is tough. Another great thing about this game are the bosses. You'll be lucky to find any other fps on the market that has boss battles, and they are all epic to fight. But besides that, this will be a game I will continue to play for a long time.

Everyone should check this game out, doesn't matter if you are a FPS lover or not. I don't usually play FPS games, but after seeing all of the videos on this, I just had to give it a shot. I wasn't let down. The graphics in the game are awesome, the levels can sometimes get a bit repetitious (that's what I felt at least), but some of them actually are a bit scary; really, really dark buildings and all you have is a small flash light. The music in the game is awesome, it really adds to the "scary" factor. The campaign mode took me 4 days to finish (I played it roughly 3-4 hours a day.) Storyline is all right, if you haven't played the first one, it's something you can easily jump into. Weapons in the game is pretty limited. Most levels you will use either the M5A2 Carbine or the Bulls-eye. Every now and then, you'll find special weapons on the ground that will help you in certain situations, like if there is a swarm of chimeras, you'll find a machine gun on the ground or something. The enemies in the game are a bit "too" smart. They always seem to know where you are even when you are FAR, FAR away sniping. Some missions that you do with other NPCS, the chimeras for some reason, ignore your buddies and just go after you, which is kinda ridiculous. Bosses are huge but the fights aren't anything different or new that you haven't seen before in previous games. Co-Op campaign is pretty fun, it's completely different from the single player campaign. You can do the co-op up to 8 people online. Overall, this is a great game. I definitely recommend this to everyone.

Resistance 2 is truly the best fps ever made everything is perfect the graphics are gorgeous the scale of the battle is amazing and you see like 20 giant chimera ships just flying around and they look amazing the boss fights are really fun and gives you feel of excitement. The controls are perfect i literally had no problems with the controls. The sound of aliens, giant ships, and guns never sounded better. The story line is amazing and the ending is truly a ending you must see. The best part is the 60 player multiplayer battles are intense and addicting the berserker mode is a nice add on and the co-op is the best in a game to date so over all this game is perfect and a must have game of 2008 so don't hesitate to get this game you will be amazed.

Yes this game has co-op mode 2 offline and up to 8 online BUT as someone pointed out co-op mode has no story behind it. You spawn in a random spot on the map and have to complete objectives. However you can not save your progress and continue later or if you both happen to die you have to start all over again but wait it gets worse in co-op mode you get xp which lets you level up your guy EXCEPT if your player 2. So if you did what me and my buddy did last night and that was each get a class to level 6 and take a brake only to turn the system back on to find out that player 1 is level 6 but player two is back to level 1. So if you want this game for co-op mode DON'T bother its a waste of ** bucks. And the reason player two can't save his xp is because insomniac is blaming sony and the psn account issue. Yet games like R6:V2 can do it locally and if you go over to the R2 forums and complain about it they just lock your posts. So if you like Co-op save your money buy CoD:WaW its a better co-op.
