I recall buying this game many years ago when I bought my PS2. I also recall immediately being disappointed. The storyline is extremely poor, at best, the controls are kind of a pain, and shooting is neither gratifying nor incredibly easy. I understand the poor quality of the story since this is an action game and most people would disregard the plot even if it was good. Nonetheless, the gameplay is just really nowhere near good enough to get away with this. The levels are pretty dull and plain, and by today's standards, nothing more than a series of boxes with enemies. At some points, it should also be noticed that enemies will spawn behind you, even in locations that have obviously been cleared out by you earlier, making the game unnecessarily frustrating when you get killed by enemies coming from the one direction you figured they couldn't possibly come from. When shooting I also noticed that the bullets travel slow enough to be visible (apparently the designers thought that being able to animate the bullets instead of having instantaneous was so cool that they'd make the bullets travel as slowly as arrows) and can even be dodged from the proper distance. The multiplayer is okay for classic split screen with a friend. I really can't recommend fighting the bots since they tend to either be ridiculously easy, or impossibly hard (you'll notice they commonly fire rounds from sniper rifles with pinpoint accuracy without using the scope, AND use run-and-gun tactics with them). It is kind of nice that they threw in a few driving levels, though the cars generally handle poorly and the rail-shooter levels can be more tedious than anything. All in all, the game is still playable, and for $4 it's hard to outrightly say it's not worth it. That said, there are are a LOT of other games out there that would be more worth your time and money. I only recommend this game for diehard Bond fans or major first-person shooter fans who have run out of other games to play.

One of the best ps2 games i probably had ever owned and i owned a bunch, anyway this game is so great multiplayer, single player all of it. This game was so great it had even bots when a friend isn't over playing multiplayer but this game was probably the greatest of its time. Definitly must buy if you liked any of the other 007 games this game really really needs to be remade to modern era with online multiplayer it'd be so perfact. This is game is just great not perfact but really good at that time outta of all the other games i own on my ps2 i always popped this one in instead of games like jak and daxter,killzone, ratchet and clank, resident evil and bunch more this game is just a must buy if my words didnt help buy this game give it a try then you will understand. 9.5/10

Personally, I did not like how the controls worked to move the character. The story line sucked, and the sounds too. I guess I am more of a role playing, horror gamer than into games of just shooting. I would not recommend this to anyone that isn't willing to spend more then five bucks on a game. This game reminded me of Silent Hill, of how to control the character's actions which I also didn't like. Although,their story line was a whole lot extreme than James Bond 007. I also didn't like the story, how everything was planned out and it wasn't allowing you to "free roam". Their graphics were alright, but nothing spectacular. It just shows how far the world of games have progressed. The challenge was alright, nothing to make you say "WOW!". Overall, if you like older games then this would be one to try.

I bought this game along with my ps2 when it came out and man can I say graphics came a long way now. but besides that this game was the best when it came out it was my favorit at that time until I bought kingdom hearts that same year. what got me to buy this game was the fact that I like shooting games and action games but I like other types as well. my fav stage is the one were your in a tank that was awsome. multiplayer verses is good but not great I only did it a couple of times. I didt like the controls much so I guss thats the only negative thing I can say about this. ***spoiler*** the story is good first you rescue zoe and then just before you start the 3ed stage she dies then later you come across another zoe and she says the other zoe was a clone an evil clone that had a task to kill you so I was like what!!!!!!!!!!! when I found out.
