In my opinion, one of the best co-op games to play with a friend/family member.
On Conflict D.S you can choose to play as the English S.A.S or the American Delta Force Team they are:
Bradley, the team leader Connors, the heavy weapons man Jones, the mechanic/medic Foley, the sniper
This game is truly one of those gems that is fun to play regardless of what it looks like. The graphics aren’t top notch, the animation is clunky, and the sound is low quality, but that doesn't stop this game from being fun. So how is this game so enjoyable? The levels are great. Large well designed maps that are not completely linear. Missions are not too repetitive, and the objectives continue to interest you throughout the game. As you progress through the game your characters abilities improve with each level completed. The more you play one character the faster his ranks go up and abilities to kill enemies become easier.
Teamwork: the squad you control is nicely balanced so that each character is needed, and has their own advantages and disadvantages in certain situations. You can swap/pick up weapons from each other or pickup Iraqi weapons. You can even heal each other with med packs.
Stress: I find that this game gives off a special kind of stress. The stress to find more anti-tank equipment, the stress to cross a sand storm riddled with enemy under impossible odds. It's usually not frustrating; it just has a way of sucking you into the objectives. Good amount of missions/playing time. Missions can take time depending on your approach, but for the most part this game takes a reasonable amount of time to complete.
Co-Op: Is extremely enjoyable, due to the nature of teamwork. I played through this game with a friend. The screen is split down the middle in a vertical direction. This is good with a large screen TV nothing smaller than 20 inches. Each of us had two characters. I had Bradley and Connors and he had Jones and Foley. We could easily split up and flag the enemy from any direction. You can swap/pick up weapons from each other or pickup Iraqi weapons. You can even heal each other with med packs if you get severely wounded, but with a certain amount of time before the wounded soldier dies. When you embark a vehicle one drives while the other shoots. What’s the disadvantage about this? When an RPG hits your vehicle everyone dies. As long as you save through the course of the level (maximum 3) if you die you begin from your last save rather than from the beginning of the level.
If you can look past the little visual things and look at this games heart you will see it is indeed a very fun and well thought out game. I have played all kinds of similar games to this. They may be "better", but for a 2002 PS2 game this is one of the best co-op games to play with a friend.

This game has everything to getting ready to go to war. From SMG to Snipes. You even use C4 charges. The training is a three step process that is not easy if your not a gamer. You should try this game because it's almost better than Call of Duty! In this game you are the commander of your squad. You go through secret missions through the Afgani war. Everything you need for war!!!

this is an awesome game. I have the whole series. i got this game when it first came out and loved it. it does have one issue is that you can't lean or roll when your prone other than that it is an awesome game. I think it is a must buy.
