Good game for beginners

I found this game to be ok. The reason I say only ok is because of the movement of the characters. You cannot lean to look around corners or even move over a little bit in the prone position without completely re-maneuvering your character. With It being like that, it makes it hard to do anything without a lot of extra work, and extra time setting up your squad, which is crucial at times during the game. When positioning the characters you must make sure to position them precisely, because it could mean the difference between living or dying. The controls are fairly easy to learn and that does make up for the above problem a little. The storyline, as well as the missions are pretty good. You go from fighting out in the desert, to fighting in the streets of towns, to guarding a fallen chopper, and even doing recon and search and evade missions, which I find to be very fun and challenging. I also like that before each mission you are given a briefing plus shown pictures or satellite images of the crucial areas you will be going into. The enemy AI is pretty bad though. I mean they just run at you at times and the others following them just keep coming the same way, sort of like shooting ducks in barrel. They don't even have very good retreat or hide intelligence. As far as the graphics are concerned, they are not very good. The characters you control, as well as the enemy sort of look like cartoon characters. Overall, like the title to my review states, this is a good game for newbie’s to the Conflict Series and beginners to squad based shooter/action games.
This is the 2nd best conflict game. The best would be Vietnam, but were talking about Desert storm right now. Well, this game has an intriguing storyline with pleasing gameplay. And this game has killer graphics for 2002, really, those graphics are amazing. It is strange though that you can like 8 diferrent weapons plus grenades and medikits. But this game is still good. It would be nice if this game had more driving levels. This game has a good amount of levels, with good guns like the AK-47, M-16, M-60, PSG1 Sniper Rifle, MP5 SMG, and many more. The really unrealistic thing about this game is that you can be healed after after taking a direct tank blast. Bust this game is still over all realistic. The Iraqis in this game are super smart, so the artificial intenligence is good. Well, this game is very good all around, so I will wrap it up. Bye this game.

This game is awesome! Probably one of my favorites and i have nearly 100 games. Great graphics, good challenge, Amazing Price! This game takes a lot of getting used to, but it still is a really fun game, Multi player mode is the most fun, it has good cheats, it is a really fun game though. you can shoot everything from LAW anti-tank weapons to M16 assault rifles and many more guns. The one thing id have to say thats bad about it is that the variety of weapons and training is minimum, but all in all its a really fun, realistic game. The sound is extremely realistic. I would reccomend this to anyone who likes war games. also, the storyline is realistic, based on true events, and very easy to follow along with. It makes you feel like your actually being briefed on real missions. AMAZING game, AMAZING price.

Conflict, Desert Storm.

I am a fan of the conflict series and as a person who appreciates an enjoyable game I found this to fit that need pretty well. You have to consider the budgets theses games have to work with in order to realize the graphic effects. Even though "Desert storm's'" graphics weren't perfect, they were still pretty great and enjoyable. It provided enough of a challenge, and the story line was actually entertaining. Although the cutscenes were the same quality as the gameplay it didn't bother me in the least. The overall gameplay was excelent in my opinion. With many dificult missions, it keeps you hooked into the storyline itself. The game may not be 100% realistic to real life military action. It is still a very enjoyable game. I would recomen this game to anyone who is a fan of the "Conflict" series or likes shooter games.
