Ah, the video game that started my obsession. I first played this game about 3-4 years ago, and I'm still madly in love with this series. Gameplay is wonderful. The storyline and characters rock. The music is just beautiful, and the battle music is great too. Graphics are pretty good, but not the best. (I especially don't like when they're talking and their mouths look like fish lips...lol) But the opening and ending both have great graphics. I'd give "lasting appeal" a 50 if I could. Like I said, it's been at least 3 years and I still love Kingdom Hearts as much as I did before. Buy this game. Now. :3 And just to clear things up (because some people are wrong), the chronological order is: 1. Birth by Sleep, 2. Kingdom Hearts, 3. 358/2 Days, 4. Chain of Memories (actually you could switch 3 & 4 around; CoM starts right after KH1 while Days starts before KH1 ends.), 5. Kingdom Hearts II 6. Re:Coded, 7. 3DS (supposedly Dream Drop Distance, not released yet), 8. Kingdom Hearts III (MAYBE. they're supposed to start working on it after Final Fantasy Versus XIII.) AND Tetsuya Nomura said that the story will continue after KH3! Start saving up KH fans :D
This game has a slow start and of course, there's the babyish Disney characters to deal with. But the game has an amazing storyline and a great level up system. Not much choice in the order of which worlds you are gonna go to. And the graphics suck compared to modern, but this game's great story is what kept me playing it and I've beaten it 3 times. Now the game is great and is $20 and it was released in 2002, some games go below $20 after 1 year. Now with such a great game the sequel sucks, I hate the story of that one. Its 85% filler to make a game
