NHL 2003 is a great game. It is different from any other EA Sports NHL game, if you've played them before. I'll start out with the gameplay. There is an improved AI this year, with smarter goalies. The gameplay has a pretty good flow. There are various cutscenes, some showing players, others showing fans. Speaking of the fans, they look pretty good this year. The controls are pretty good, although the speed burst isn't on the trigger this year. Also, the right analog hitting isn't in this game, but you'll get used to it. The graphics are pretty good, if you're an NHL fan, then you;ll recognize some players. The graphics are shiny. The player models are ok. Over to commentary. Jim Hughson is in the booth once again, along with the always fun Don Taylor. He says some pretty funny stuff in this game. This is a great game if you're looking for a solid game of hockey. If you have a GameCube, XBox, or PS2 then you'll need to get this game.
