Even though this game is almost a decade old. I feel like it's one of the best NASCAR games every made. The wrecks are very relistic, and if you complete different tasks you will be able to unlock some strange, but also some very cool add ons. For instants, you can unlock this thing called horn morter that you are able to shoot out of your car, and practically destroy other race cars. It has a pretty descent replay mode to. Even though you can't rewatch your whole race. You still get to set the camera angle, and are able to see all the other drivers perspective to. One great thing is at the restrictor plate tracks( like Daytona, and Talladega). If you set the race difficulty to 105% custom, the whole race will be ran bumper to bumper, and two and three wide. Just hope a wreck doesn't brake out because just like in real life they're very hard to get though.

I played this game a long time ago, and from the first time I played it, I kept telling myself this game is going to set the standard for future racing games, that i purchase. I have played almost every nascar game since nascar thunder 2002. Eventhough the EA nascar games did have some variety, nothing compared to this game. A big plus to racing games is having to work your way up and this game nails it perfectly. You start racing dirt tracks, making a couple hundred dollars a race, which you use to upgrade your car and in turn start winning races. The dirt series is even realistic in the sense that they have both A main and B main races as well as dual heats. Once you win a championship, you can move on to the next tier of nascar, that being the fetherlight modifides, the craftsman truck series and finally the cup series. Once you reach the truck series you get even more control over your team, you can hire a crew chief, pit crew and chasis builder.Another big perk to the game is the difficulty modification, not many people want to sit down and run a full 200 laps at daytona, but you can if you want to. You can change the race length, damage, ai difficulty. you can even tweak every aspect of your car from nose tape and susspension to spoiler angle and gear ratios. One of the more realistic stand points of the game is if you choose to start on the most difficult setting, it will take you 2 or 3 seasons before you win a championship, just like it would if you were a new nascar team starting out. By far one of the better racing games ive played, i hope some day we can expect a sequel that rivals Dirt to Daytona.

NASCAR Dirt To Daytona is just a great game. I've been playing the EA Sport ones for ever, and the one's I've played are: 98, 99, 2000, 2003, 2005, and 2008. After I got NASCAR 2008, I had it with EA Sports, so I looked up other NASCAR games, then I remembered one of my friends talking about this game, so I looked it up, and seen all the different things you can do in it, and the cheap price for a used one. When you start the game, it has a basic selection menu, between Career mode, or Fast Action. Career mode will take you to the start of your Career information and Fast Action will take you to the race now. When you start your Career, you make your drivers card, and your welcomed by Allen Bestwick who is like a mentor like Jeff Gordon on NASCAR 08, but only comes up when you start a new series, and tells everything you need to know. When you start off in the Dirt racing Street Stocks, you can't just jump in and win. First you need to get use to the dirt, and make enough money to update your car to make it better. During the race you get paid, and you also have to pay for your weekend cost from car damage. There are different things you can buy to update your car. You also control sponsors on board, and you can place them in places of your car where they pay more or less, and have goals for you to do to get the money. After you win the championship in dirt, you move up to the next class, and so on. When you get to the Trucks, and Cup, you hire 3 main people for your pit, crew chief, and builders. If you get the best ones, you can lose money each race if you don't have good enough sponsors, or good enough finishes, just like in real life.--On the Fast Action menu, you have your basic race now section were you can make a simple custom car, or pick a driver. --You have Beat The Heat, where you have some simple Heats, or hard heats were it can take a lot of time to master at it to beat it. Before each Heat, you have Allen Bestwick, or NASCAR drivers to tell you your goal on what you have to do to beat it.--On Pro Trainer, a Driver you pick who masters the track out of the drivers tells you about it, and how to go around it. There gost lap goes around the track, and your goal is to beat it.--Everything you do on Fast Action gets you to unlock points, were you can unlock afew things, like shooting paint balls at people to mess around, have a giant pit crew guy run around the track taking place of a car, making the field even stronger, and ect.Cool things on the game also is, on a few tracks you can go inside the track, and drive around in it.--The downside to this game on the ps2 is the control, to get all the speed out of the car, you have to jam your fingure into the X Button, but if it starts to hurt, you can go to the right joystick, and push it up to go, and use it as your break to.--If this game were to have online mode, it would just make it that much better then it is already, I don't think this game could've been made any better during 2002/2003.If you want to play a NASCAR game that's great, I will recommend you find NASCAR Dirt To Daytona, it's pretty cheap used, and if you don't like it, you don't take a big hit in money, or you can return it, if you can.

this is one of the best racing games ever!!!! career mode is amazing. the only problem is that on the dirt roads it is a little too hard too turn and go fast. gameplay is great. sound is great too. soundtrack is good. graphics aren't the best, but for 10 years old they aren't bad. I don't know if it's worth $10 but is still an amazing game.

Even though it's very old, I think it's the best NASCAR game ever made. This content is what they need in future NASCAR games, and I think it had real good graphics.
