This game is perfect for: hardcore gamers
Gradius is a long running shump genre game series and Gradius 5 continues the tradition. Gradius 5 is made by the legendary company Treasure who have made Radiant Silvergun and Ikaruga. You can tell there is alot of love put into this game. This is one of few gradius games where 2 players can play at once. Also even after you die you keep going on the level which is a very big welcome. Each level also is very distinct from the others. Absolutely worth getting when the chance comes.

action gamer
If you're looking for a great game with action and co-op play look no further. Gradius V is dazzling in ways that few games can compare. All you need are quick reflexes and adaptive strategy, which is enough to keep you occupied for a while. There are only 7 stages but they're all quite long and well made. The bosses are a ton of fun to fight, even though they will be quite hard at first. It keeps your score on a memory card so you brag about your ability to friends or show them in person how great you are. Sure, the gameplay may be old but there are few things cooler in the gaming world today then watching a game like this played by a master gamer. Pick up a copy and become one yourself! Pros: -great, high-quality shoot-em up gameplay from the best- Treasure.-multiples and all of the other upgrades add sweetness value and strategical depth.-Music is awesome. -Keeps your score.-Bragging rights/awesome display of videogame skill.-easy in/out co-op.Cons:-not terribly long, but quite challenging the whole way through. It's never unfair though (as far as shmups go).-confusion between background and foreground objects at times; this is something you get better at through time though.-one un-skippable cutscene. It's short enough though and helps understand why there's another Vic Viper assisting you.
