Great for a PS2 game.
PostedNovember 11, 2010
I'm a die hard fan of the series (except for the recent movies 8/) and when I first got this game awhile back I was interested of how it would stand up to Nightfire and other bond games or shooters. I was impressed by the graphics for a ps2 game and of the story line in which it follows. The shooting modes are great, with you being able to modify where you shoot the person rather than an automatic head shot or chest shot. The gadgets are awesome as well, especially the Q-Spider. Although this is an older game it is still one of my fav's...even after I have bought an x box 360. C8 The car chases, motorcycle chases, and fighting moves are all great for a game such as relating to the bond movies. Overall I would recommend it to any of my friends and anyone interested in a PS2 shooter with style.

BEST GAME
PostedJuly 23, 2010
If you are a 007 fan and you want a good game, this is the one to get. James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing is by far the best 007 game ever! I don't have the game, but my cousin does. I was to stupid to go out and by the PS3 that didn't play PS2 games. Now everytime I go to his house I play over and over again. I would definitely recommend this game to everyone. The Single Player campaign is very good, one of the best stories ever, and the MULTIPLAYER is WICKED. So I know what some of you online gamers are thinking, Can it go online?, YES it can. Don't go out and get the new Quantum of Solace until you get this. The Multiplayer is some what better than Single Player. The Cooperative Mode is the best where you and a friend can play 3 chapters with about 7 missions in every chapter. So yeah, there you go, its a must buy.

There is a good Bond game thats not Goldeneye
PostedApril 1, 2008
Everything or Nothing is a great example of what big heavy hitting game companies can do with a great license and good mechanics. The game puts you in the place of everyone’s favorite martini sipping skirt chasing secret agent James Bond. While most people regard Goldeneye 64 as the greatest Bond game of all time these games are too different to make a fair comparison. The one similarity they both share is immersing you into the part of secret agent and being all around good games. One thing this game does very well is combining many different types of game play together. This for the most part comes together in a very satisfying way. The combat feels like a modern slant on games like Syphon Filter. You stick to cover and lock on with an auto aim feature then pop out of cover and shoot at your assailants. Within your lock on you can shift your aim to specific body parts, which is useful, if you want to take people down with well-placed headshots. There is also a forgiving stealth component that can gain you a higher score along with the sheer satisfaction of silently choking and dropping a guard. Thankfully being discovered isn’t the end of the world, and you can easily put down the guards that rush toward you. This does a good job at breaking up the sometimes-repetitive cycle of finding cover, shooting, advancing, and firing some more. It also adds a little extra challenge to the easy auto aim system. When enemies get a little to close for comfort the game has a surprisingly good hand-to-hand combat mechanic. If you use your fire button when they are too close for gunfire you automatically use a pistol whip. There are also various attack buttons that when used right allow you to fight your way through a decent sized mob. The environment is highly interactive allowing you to manipulate various things like chandlers or mine carts to create cover and take out opponents in various ways. Hand to hand feels easy to transition in and out of and the game has a few fun sequences where it is the primary mode of combat. The slow motion targeting system points out various things to be exploited which, when used in combination with your weapons and glass bottles lying on the bar, can help you quickly drop a room of thugs. This games true strengths lie in its amazing blockbuster grade production. The animation is spot on. When you counter a punch you see the nicely motion captured Pierce Bronson duck swoop around the backside and kick out the knee while simultaneously delivering a judo chop to the back of the neck. The voice acting is very good with original actors playing their respective parts including John Cleese as Q and Willem Dafoe as the main villain. The story is your average bad men with nukes scenario with a few twists. However the scripted action sequences and excellent voice acting bring up the story. This includes one scene in which you free fall to catch a bond girl dropped from a helicopter. Although this is admittedly a little far fetched even for a game it was still one of the best times I have had in a game. There are also a number of driving sequences, which are for the most part action packed, and a lot of fun. The controls are responsive and the weapons are a lot of fun to use. Some of the driving missions are a little annoying and involve some back and fourth errand running. The variety in vehicles is good ranging from missile launching bikes to massive tanks. The game makes you feel like Bond with a wide array of gadgets. Unlike past games where gadgets were merely a convenient way to get out of a specific scenario, then forgotten for the rest of the game, these gadgets can be used in a variety of ways in almost any part of the level. There is a multiplayer included that features both competitive and co-op modes. The co-op is on a parallel storyline that vaguely ties in with the main event. It offers some solid gameplay and it is a great way to kill a rainy weekend with a friend. The
