To Outbreak....or Not To Outbreak...that is the ?
PostedAugust 9, 2011
Resident Evil Outbreak sends you straight into the heart of the nightmare that is Raccoon City. Taking place during the events of Resident Evil 2 and 3, while borrowing many familiar places from 2 and 3. You play as one of the survivors, and along with 2 other A.I. controlled characters, navigate through the levels to fight a boss at the end.
Now, what makes this different from any other Resident Evil game, is the fact that you are partnered with 2 A.I.'s (both whom are as dumb as stumps) and you can play this online. SADLY upon this games release, very few people had what it took to get the PS2 online and working. So many fans of the series didn't get a chance to experiance the online play with their friends.
Sadly, I never got to experiance it. I beat both Outbreak And Outbreak File 2, by myself and let me say it was HAAAAAAAAAAAAAARD! Due to the A.I.'s not responding to anything you say, and dropping vital items, and wasting ammo faster than the A.I. in RE5, it makes for a very hard and tiring game to play.
Despite this setback, I was determined to unlock what I could and beat the game. And honestly, I still love the game despite it's difficulty. Mainly because I am a huge fan of the RE series, 15 years strong.
But I would advise that only fans of the series, or gamers who enjoy a challenge, buy this game.

well this isn't no story mode but its scenarios and even tho those scenarios will have you wanted to replay them over and over again and the only thing that would of made this game one of the best is if could of been 2 players.

A new series
PostedDecember 30, 2010
Outbreak is actually really enjoyable for people who like Resident Evil, or zombie/creature shooters. It has a few levels from Resident Evil, 2 and 3. The 1st and 2nd levels are from Resident Evil 2(Jack's Bar and Research facility) and a few bitter-sweet returns from Hunters, Lickers, and Thanatos(I think he's a new creature). So, If you like Zombie shooters, get this.
