GREAT GAME
PostedMay 15, 2010
This game is great. I recommend it to anyone who has a ps2 that likes shooting games. The two player in this game is lame, but the one player is awesome. In two player you do multiplayer. The storyline is pretty good. I beat the entire game in about 8 hours. There are a handful of guns in the game. There are only two alien guns, but they are cool. One of them has an automatic reload, the other one is this huge cannon. There are SMG's, Shotguns, Pistols, and snipers for the human guns. The game gets scary at parts. The game is about some kind of virus spreading through the humans and turning them into zombies. Throughtout the game you fight aliens, infected human zombies, and these humans that the aliens'created'. The storyline is hard to explain. I hope you buy this game!

This game is straight up amazing, I would recomend this game to anyone who enjoys fps. The storyline was pretty easy to follow and kept me interested. This game is fairly easy to beat on the normal setting. I personally beat the game in about 24hours total. This game isn't too long and can be beaten by a hardcore gamer in a night.you would be crazy not to buy this game if you own a ps2, It's a great bang for your buck. Split screen is ok, but gets very boring after about 20 minutes. I've never played it online but I can't imagine it being very good considering that the game isn't very popular. I did enjoy the databank in which you can use the hazmat scanner to scan various objects giving you a detailed account of secrets and gov't conspiracies. The enemies in this game are pretty interesting, but I wish there were more. In total there was only a handful and this dissapointed me. The weapons were good, but I did not like how the meson canon(most amazing weapon in the game) can only be used a few times on account of scarce ammunitions! The mutant mode is pretty cool too, I like the flying parasites that found enemies and killed them. Only one thing kinda bothered me and that was that you never really get to kill a grey. =( Overall, this is a solid 10 out of 10.

Not so Top-Secret anymore...

Since the original launch of the game in 2005, I couldn't wait to play it. A year and a half later, I got a PS2 and forgot all about Area 51. Bored, I decided to read up on some Area 51 information. Bam. There it was Area 51 the game. I read it was like a Halo for PS2, best FPS game ever for PS2 and a lot of similar things. To my surprise, they were very true. I was hooked when I popped it in. It reminded me of Half-Life 1, but without the large amount of weaponry and reminded me of GoldenEye: 007 because of the dual-wielding weapons. For PS2 (and 2005) the graphics are amazing. The Grey's look so nice, almost like how someone would imagine a real alien. The cut-scenes are breathtaking. It's almost like watching a movie. I haven't shook so much or been so hooked since I first played and beat Half-Life myself. Of course Half-Life is a bit longer. Area 51 has more clear missions and most of them are just "Go get this item" or something similar. The two player mode is awesome, and I have yet to try the online mode. The storyline is somewhat sad, especially the end. I still have to scan all the things, which will probably take a lot longer. This is the greatest PS2 game I have ever played. It also ranks up there with the greatest games I have ever played. Get Area 51 and you'll have no regrets.
