As good or Better than PS3

While some may disagree with my idea of how this compares to the PS3, (why play an HD console on a non-HD tv (I'm cheap like that)?) I believe that the PS2 is great because it has many, many games (not that you would want to play most of them) and decent graphics, and a good controller design. I like the dualshock 2 controller more than the sixaxis because the joystick resistance is greater on the dualshock 2 controller, which, unfortunatly, is wired to the console. The nice thing about that is that you don't need to recharge or put batteries in the controller. So yes, I would recommend this to a friend (if I had any...). BUT WAIT! There is one complaint with this console (in question form)! Why do I have to buy a PS2, then I have to buy a memory card (not included), then I have to buy a second controller (not included) and a game (no game included)? In fact, if you have a terrible TV like me, then you might also have to buy a switchbox to be able to hook them all up at once.

I know most of you have a ps3, wii, or xbox 360 at your house now, but still this is a great buy. It has so much games! Some of my favorites are call of duty 3, SOCOM3, SOCOM combined assault ( both backwards compatiable with online play ), Star Wars Battlefronts 1/2, battlefield combined assault, BLACK, destroy all humans 1/2, kingdom hearts 1/2, god of war 1/2, Jak, andchet and clank. This console isn't known for its features, its known for its great games. I can't stop buying games for this! Alsoits the only console from last gen with online play ( im not sure about dreamcast cuz i dont have it online and I know that the gamecube's online sucks, and XBL shut down a year ago ). It also still has people on it cuz I was playing SOCOM combined assault and it was awesome! Starwars battlefront 2 also has some people on it. PSN for ps2 doesnt have much but the online play is FREE and there are still about a few million that get on.The playstation 2 also has a dvd player ( not that good but still decent ) and you dont have to buy a movie playback kit. It also plays CD's and thats awesome! Also dont be fooled by the memory cards 8 megabytes of memory because the games dont use much space. It is also backwards compatiable with the ps1 controller but make sure its either the dual analog or the dualshock. Come be a part of the 1/3 households in america that have a ps22 in them. Also remember to get psn because its still fun! A year ago the xbox owned ps2 with its online experience, but now its shut down ( I will miss my halo 2 online days :( ), but we still have psn!

THE PS2 IS GREAT!!! i own a ps1 ps2 and hope to own a ps3 but this is awosome i had a playstaton since i was three i stiil think no system is compared to this ive been a gamer as long as i can remember and my NUMBER 1 FAVORITE IS THIS I ENCOURAGE U TO BUY IT it is perfact for some cool, fun, and cheap playing

Great console of all time

I had lots of fun with the ps2 it had lots of good games for example,Resident evil 4,kingdom hearts,final fantasy,and the devil may cry.Too bad they dont make games for the ps2 any more.
