Sure its not the best graphics but for a system made in the year 2000 its probably the most amazing and finally Sony is going to regain this glory with the PS4 because no matter what you say the PS4 is obviously better than the Xbox One and this upcoming generation will be the exact same as the PS2 generation. But until the PS4 since this system is in fact cheap you should buy it and try it out.

sure the newer systems have internet and better graphics, but the gameplay is lacking. which is why bought myself a ps2 again. who ever cares more about the graphics than the gameplay is an idiot, no offence.

Unlike the newer, slim Playstation 2, most of the fat PS2 systems are actually made in Japan. This explains why my PS2 seems to magically read any disk without problems, even if it has lots of scratches! Also, this is why the fat PS2 is so much more durable than the slim one. One drop could be the end of your slim PS2, but most likely this one will still work after a small drop. I mean, if you purposely drop it to test this, it might break, so don't try it, but this system is a lot better than the slim. You can even slap a hard drive in it! The PS2 was also one of the first systems to have motion controlled games. Many don't know about it, but there is a PS2 accessory called the Eye-Toy that uses motion to control games. I bought mine for $0.45 at Gamestop!

The PS2 has been amazing over the years, providing an unprecedented gaming experience. With the advancement of technology over the years, the PS2 has grown outdated, but it's still very special. It's functionality has died down a bit but I've had for as long as I can remember, so that's usually what happens to past-generation technology. The PS2 is amazing, and although production of the system and games for the system may cease one day, the PS2 will never die.

While looking online on gamestop.com, i noticed the ps2 was only $50, surprised, i looked for some games that might be good. I had always wanted to buy some games like the kingdom hearts, jak, and ratchet and clank series. I noticed how cheap they were and decided to buy my self the system. I've had it for less than a week and so far its amazing, I bought the system, a memory card, and 5 games for about $130, that's less than 3 ps3 games. I was also pleasantly surprised when i opened up the box and looked at my system, it was a special edition resident evil 4 ps2, even better than i expected. With games down to less than $10, i would definitely recommend this to anybody.

This system's games may still be in stock, and you may think that this won't happen in a long time, but Game Stop will have to stop accepting PS2 games sooner or later. When it happens, it will probably be unexpected, too. If you want a PS2, get it now, because just like the Microsoft XBOX, the system and its products will eventually no longer be availible. The PS2 has to be next to no longer be available in its generation of systems, because it has already happened to the XBOX, and even the Gamecube.

I bought the large ps2 refurbished online on this site everything was fine the system worked well but, it came with a fake controller that on it says made in china and doesnt even have a sony logo on it.

I remember my brother letting me play tons of his games. my favorite game was shinobi because it was so fun!!! you could beat tons of bad guys its like so cool its really fun... i rate this a 10 cause i had good memories with it and it lasted a pretty good long time at least 4-5 years and a couple tips dont let it sit there for more than 4 to 5 hours infact i would stop for a while at 3 and a half hours cause it can overheat and just break down and especially if it is used. it is also very fragile just like any other console and if your clumsy try not to break it cause it WILL break trust me cause its happen to me i tripped over the controller then i had to buy a new one 2 months later... so enjoy and be careful

First off I would like to say, this is an AMAZING price for a Playstation 2. If you go to local gamestops or other online places trying to find one, you wont find anything lower than this that comes with an controller & all its cables. I bought this to play some of my old ps2 games that are amazing & it feels good. Lately I've been so stuck on my new ps2, I play it more than my ps3. Even though I dont have alot of games for the ps2, thats alright because they run cheap. I'm talking 25 dollars & below. It can be broken easily though, Its durability is horrible. Which is why I'm having to buy another one 3 years later But Overall Its a great thing to buy. The System Is Cheap, The Games Are Cheap, The Controllers Are Cheap Yet Its Better Than Some PS3 Games. My Rate 9/10

My old PS2 system started to break down on me so I traded it in (in return on Christmas day I ended up with the money consuming Wii!!! *angry face*). I have longed to get one of these again, mainly because the one I had survived not only my hours of gaming, but my dad's gameplay times, his smoke filled house, and it still worked when I took it home with me about 3-4 years ago. The game selection is still the best to date (shut up you 360 and PS3 lovers, I'll get one when I'm rich!!). Bottom line this thing is a beast at durabillity, and I would LOVE to get one again!!
