ok so to start out god of war is a top notch ps2 game that every1 should play. but i can say this, in my opinion this game in the first half is an action hardcore adventure game but the second half when pandoras box part starts this game is a near imposible puzzle game with hard opponents thrown in to make it even harder. if there was no such thing as a guide this game in my opinion would almost be impossible to beat. but that said when you figure out what you are supposed to do this game is absolutely astonishing in every way, i am a lifetime studier and admirer of greek mythology and i found this game right up my alley, and because i know mythology i pretty much knew how the entire game was going to run, right when i heard "pandoras box" i go UH OH puzzles here i come! and when athena was the one telling kratos wat to do i go uh oh bcuz she is a very tricky GODDESS OF STRATEGY.........hint hint. but anyways this game is purely awesome you shud go get it for the ps3 if ya gots 1
god of war is THE hardcore game of the century next to gow2 and gow chains of olympus. if your a true greek mythology lover then kratos is your character. batling a god, conquering a temple, and see all the blood you can stomach. my friends if you dont have this game, then you're sticks in the sand. So get god of war and be the champion of olympus.
Best game ive ever played!!! Great storyline. good weapons and upgrades.just a beastmode game all around.

this was in my opinion the best game for the ps2, the only thing that beats it would be GoW2. where to start? the story is amazing it is simple and fluid, the graphics are the best for that year, the sound makes you feel like you are kratos. the puzzles make you want to step back and ponder for awhile but not to the point where you throw the game out the window. the fighting is amazing, so many combos and ways to kill that already dead soldier yet the button configuration is simple sweet and to the point. the cutscenes are fantastic i thought this game was made in 2007 watching them. this game is not what i would reccomend for kids though i mean omg he has (gamestop wont let me say it so) intercourse in the game, what game does that? overall if you love gory fighting games or just want to calm down and blow off some steam get this game it will change your ideas on the genre forever. dont see a therapist for stress issues rip the head off medusa!
