Now I know Xbox One is out now and Xbox 360 has been out. But Xbox 360 seems to have trouble at times with backwards compatibility. Only the original Xbox 360 hard drives read the original Xbox games, and even then the hard drive can sometimes act up.
Now for being as old as this console is, this console is still amazing. They're are some games for this console that are just graphically amazing! When it comes to graphics for it's generation, it is hands down the best console.
One nice feature is the internal hard drive. You will never run out of storage. You can save hundreds of games on the internal hard drive. You can also save music on this system and use your music for certain games, for example ESPN Football 2K5.
The controller is big and everyone's biggest complaint. But I got used to it right away and the controller doesn't bother me at all. Game selection is not as wide as the PS2, but this game has some really great titles. The Xbox is more of an adult gaming system.
If you're looking for a solid system with a lot of excellent games then the Xbox is a good system to ad to your collection.

this is old and bogus but good so goood i would recommend it to a friend but since it old and you cant go online or do glitches i dont know i'm just saying sometime random

The Xbox console is a amazing system. It has a internal hard drive for tons of memory and the controlls are easy to get used to. The disc does jam but it isn't as annoying as I thought it would be. The system also has alot of great games such as Jedi Outcast and Farcry Instincts. I would highly recommend this system. By the way I bought mine ysterday :)

Bulky in size, so that plays a role, the original Xbox controller is too bulky as well. But lets put that a side. Great system overall! Excellent game selection, great graphics, and I like the fact is has an internal hard drive with lots of storage! It is a tough decision to say whether PS2 or Xbox is better, I would say a slight advantage to PS2.
