Five words...Do Not Buy This Game! You will be wasting your money on it. The speed on this game is horrible, to move one step it takes forever to load. Every time you step outside or inside you hit a loading screen. It all takes away from the joy of the game. I actually think that the game would have some potential if it didn't take so long to do everything. Besides that the game's storyline (if you can call it that) is strange and pointless, i prefer the PC Sims games that allows you to control the world rather than one person. This game takes away from the whole feel of the PC versions, it's just not worth your time. So take my advice and steer clear of this game the next time you go out to buy something, seriously it's a very big disappointment.

Dont buy this game
DO NOT BUY
PostedMay 26, 2009
I bought this game thinking it would be fun. Trust me this is probably the worst sims game ever. I bought it, played it, returned it all in three days. I didn't beat it though. I ddn't even want to try though. Some of the good things are that you have a cell phone, and you automatically get a house. Some of the bad things are that the game is boring the minigames are terrible, and the storyline is stupid. After the few days that I had the game I did return it. With the store credit and a little bit of pocket money i bought the sims 2 for play staion 2. I am much happier with this one instead of the psp version. And also if you are still thinking about getting the game after reading this review, let me tell you this. I bought the game for a few main reasons. One of them was so that i could build my on house and customize it. NO! You can't even do that. Thanks for reading my review and i hoped it changed your point of view. DO NOT GET THIS GAME.

OK, but not the PC version...

FOR THOSE OF US who started playing the Sims when it first came out for the PC, you know? The original one? This game may seem like a bit of a far cry. I was really excited to pick this game up as soon as my finances allowed me. Well, I got The Sims 2 for the PSP a little over a month ago. After playing it for quite sometime, here's what I think. Just FYI, also, this review may contain a few minor spoilers dealing with some content of the game...SO BEWARE! The game looks very nice. The graphics are similar to those for the PS2 - Somewhat cartoon-like, while maintaining realistic images of the people you control and see. The maps are creative and very detailed with a load of different furniture inside other people's houses while the outside areas are detailed with many different objects like fences, benches, lamp posts, and more. I would have to say the graphics might just be one of the bigger pluses for this game. On the other hand, I would have to put my money on the 'not being able to build your own house' aspect as the biggest negative about the game. That's right...the famous 'Build your house' mode is absent. This made me rather upset as that is one of the most fun parts of the game! To kind of make up for it, I guess, Maxis decided to give you an extremely large house for an extremely low price. It's not bad, but what IS bad is the fact that you have no money to buy furniture! So, even having a big house doesn't make up for it. OTHER GOOD STUFF ABOUT THE GAMES... Communicating with your fellow Sim is now somewhat easier and makes a little more sense than just watching them yap about anything. The talk function is now a mini game, where it shows what your friend is talking about, while there are three thought bubble above your head. Each thought bubble over your character contains a different thought, and a button (Square, Triangle, and Circle) - One of those thoughts is the same as what your friend is talking about...SO the idea of the mini-game is to hit the button for the thought that corresponds with your friends speech. You'll need to do this as fast as you can since there is a timer at the bottom of the screen. If you hit the button too slowly, you'll fail to upgrade your relationship. Each time you hit the correct button fast enough, you will receive friendship points...this is how you further any relationship. Romance and intimidation work in the same ways. You have a bunch of jobs at the same time - BUT THERE'S NOT SPECIFIC TIME FOR EACH ONE! That's correct, basically if you need money...Go to work! It's really a lot better (but less realistic) than having a steady work shift. Being promoted is still there though, and it still works in the same way. Instead of having to run to the phone in your house every time you need to make a call, you have been equipped with a brand new CELL PHONE! Excuse my enthusiasm as its neat I just can't get too excited over it since all you can do is call people. Occasionally you will receive calls from other people as part of the storyline. You can buy perks now with "Sanity Points". When you complete enough objectives or earn enough sanity points, you have the option to buy certain perks like 'resist tiredness' and junk like that. This is actually really helpful! I'm not going to give away all the perks...buy the game and you'll find out! OTHER BAD STUFF ABOUT THE GAME... You now have headaches and nausea. If you smell something putrid - You get nauseated and the only way to fix it is to either throw up (actually command your Sim to vomit) or take meds. If you do anything on the computer for too long ("too long" is usually equivalent to ~5 seconds) you get a headache. They can only be cured by sleeping, relaxing, or taking meds as well. Its kind of neat due to the realism... however they can be a nuisance! Especially when there are other things you need to be doing. There is a "sanity meter" now instead of the old style mood bar or whatever the official

I really love almost every sims game i played but this game was kinda pathetic. I bought it thinkin it was goin to be as good or better then the Sims. Not even close. All the things we had to do were very easy there was absolutely no challenge to it. Every thing was very easy to do. Its like game for slow people dont even know what their doin. The game was very short too. The graphics were alright and the talkin thing was cool too but it made it take longer to load. The chat game was kinda easier to people to like u and get secrets from them too, i think those are the only good things about this video game. So if you are the kind of person who likes the challenging sim games do not buy this one. you should spend your money a different sims game. for example get the one on Computer or playstation they are much better.
