I admit, this game was pretty good for a lot of gamers who aren't totally fans of Spider man. Okay, it's not that I don't like this game, it's just that it's way too weird. The Venom levels have varying difficulties so you can play either ridiculously hard levels in the beginning or easy missions in the middle. What I like about this game is that the missions switch between Spider man and Venom which allow for a varied gameplay. I like the feel, but it doesn't have much of a combat system. You just have regular punch combos like press B four times, you might do some fancy kick. The combat for Spider man is one of the main faults. Combat for Venom is great because you can throw around cars, slam people's faces into the ground, or just eat them. The way you move around the levels are similar with Spider man's using his webs while Venom just jumps around. His jumping style is great, but it helps to get around faster if you're chasing someone. The boss missions suck because they are cheap if you're Spider man. Like I said before, he can't really attack and can only jump around all fancy. He can only dodge fancy which is only just jumping around the stage. The lasting appeal is horrible too. After you finish the game, you have nothing. In Spider man 2 the video game, you had these trophies to unlock but there's squat in this. The graphics for this game are pretty good. It makes you feel as if you're in a comic book which is exactly what you want to feel. Overall this is a decent game, but it has a lot of faults and can fall flat when it comes to combat for Spidey. It focuses too much on Venom sometimes I must admit.
when i first expeirienced this game i was blown away words couldnt describe how amazing i felt, it was like i was in spaiderman`s shoes spining webs around the city and its cool becuase the webs actually landed on buildings not just in the sky, but about two years later a had to get rid of it for some money, and now i regret it, it has a long lasting apeal, overal this is by far the best game ive ever played even comparred to the new games of 2012-2013, this game is worth it.

first off, the animation has a comic twist aswell as a pinch of reality. making it have a logical sense of things. when i first played it, i couldent stop playing the free city roam. i mean, how often do you find a game that lets you climb skyscrapers, jump off, and then string a line automatically and swing to the next one. the combat system is just geinius because for example, there is a streetlight nearby you can do amasing arobics and cacoon a bad guy in a web hanging from the streetlight, therefore makeing it easier so you dont have to fiddle with the guy and then let the cops take care of him, however when night falls, you can fight venom, or take controll of him, and cause catostrofic destruction in the city. aswell as sometimes being other classic marvel heros such as wolverine so alltogether this game provides hours of fun and spidy action. thats why i give it a 9 on a 1-10 scale.

I think spiderman games are the best games ever. I like this one because you can litterily be bad. What i mean is you can be the villan.

This game is one of the best games on the gamecube. The story is awesome, and how they made the cutscenes comic book style was genius. By also making the game look like it came straight out of the comic was good as well. The sound is great and so are the controls. This game is definitely the most challenging of all the spiderman games on the gamecube. The mini challenges like the races, are pretty easy but get more challenging the further you get. You can also unlock some new spiderman costumes by completing mini challenges. The also added ability to play as venom when you beat the game is a nice touch. The game does have some replay value, but not much. If you're looking for a good spiderman game for the gamecube, this is definitely the one you should choose.

I say that because it is awesome. I mean the fact that you can be venom and spider man is just awesome. A down side is the ending, because you beat the game, and then all you get to do is swing around the city and beat the little challenges. A good thing is that when you beat the game you get to switch between venom and spider man any time you want! But this game is only good if your willing to spend the money and then sell it later on. Hey, don't get me wrong, this is a great game, if it wasn't do you think I would be sitting here typing this thing? Any way, any die hard spider man fan would love it, (like me) the graphics aren't the best but I mean its good for Game Cube. The sound is good, and the story line was my favorite, because you get to battle other villains beside venom. All together this is a great game and you should get it.
