Its going to be good game

I have not played true crime, but im going to go buy it & play it to see how it is. This game is a good game for people who like to play Grand theft Auto and similar types of products. The storyline and sound, challenge, interface, length, controls and graphics/animation of True Crime : New York City is a good product other customers would enjoy.

What I think?

This game is pretty cool but I hate the bugs and glitches for it because the games graphics are too strong for the PS2 it starts to freeze and also the game begins to act funny and black out sometimes if you stand in the same spot for a while some times random things come out of no were like street crimes and building all of a sudden pop up and you'll be all like WTF? But other than that this game is better than G.T.A. in some ways the graphics are better and the game play makes more since but the story line is kinda of gay when you don't understand it. The games graphics like I said look amazing better than G.T.A.'s but it's better than the 1st True Crime. The 1st True Crime was good when it 1st came out but now it sucks. The game is amazing when it comes to fighting but it is a litter harder and a little easier at the same time the shooting thou it great there is lock on. The game needs to have less glitches and more realistic animation. Other than that I love this game just don't get carried away with it. It can really get you angry but it is sort of easier than L.A. I give the game an 8.50 out of 10.

AN OK GAME

If you enjoy games similar to Grand Theft Auto you will enjoy True Crime: New York City. You play the game as a cop. You can choose to free roam and take random police calls. That is what I do. Sometimes it gets random glitches such as freezing, etc. You can also choose to be a good cop or a bad cop. You can earn money by issuing bogus traffic tickets. You can buy cars, guns, food, clothes, and CD's to play in your car. You can also repair your car, paint it or upgrade your car. You can also choose to pawn evidence [bad cop] or turn the evidence into the police station [good cop]. Turning evidence into the station gets you money and career points. There is also a little scavenger hunt in the game. There are 10 pairs of puma shoes hidden around New York City. If you find and collect all 10 pairs of shoes you get an exclusive puma outfit. You can also get promoted, you start off as a rank 5 detective. The more you clean up the crime in the city the more likely you will get promoted. The highest rank is rank 1. Getting promoted unlocks new cars and guns. You can buy cars at the police headquarters impound lot or at the car dealer. You can also buy guns at the police armory section in headquarters or at gun shops. Overall, this is a fun game for free roaming. If you enjoy shooting games like GTA you will love this game!

Very bad game..

True crime New York City is probably one of the cheesiest games you'll ever play. Your motion is incredibly bad, and same with your driving. All the buildings are tall so it’s like dark 24/7. Who wants to play a game when it’s dark the whole time? This game is so unrealistic, if you pulled out a pistol on a random person and started shooting him/her it would take you at least 6 or 7 shots before they would actually die. If you you've played true crime streets of l.a. This game is no better. The best part about this game is the very first mission. You start out with 2 micro smg's. And that doesn’t last very long. Driving a motorcycle is probably the most unrealistic part about the game. You can just drive all the way down New York, doing a wheelie at full speed until you get hit. Also you’re an under cover cop, so you have to drive an under cover cop car. They make you work to get nicer cop cars (which I understand). But then they make you have to pay for it. The last time I checked you didn’t have to pay for your police vehicle. Over all this game is DEFINITELY NOT worth it.
