The game was great. I remember I bought this game years ago with my sister as we raced to see who could finish the game first. Throughout the game is constant adventure and mystery, with surprisingly good music and a nice story. When I first got the game I was around 7 or 8 years old, and back then the gameplay was somewhat scary because of all the darkness. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone.

I first beat this game when I was around 7, and I'm still playing it on occasion at 14. I love the story line of this game and it's so much fun. I have always loved fantasy and Renaissance type things, but this was the best game I've ever played. Nothing compares to it. The only thing I don't like so much about it is that once you beat the Darkest Faerie the game basically ends.

When I first saw this game in the store I wanted it!! I was a HUGE neopets lover haha. I got it for Christmas a few years ago and I was SO happy!! I put it in right away and LOVED it!! It seems like a kiddy game and everything but its for any one who LOVES open space action! I absolutely love this game and I plan on re playing it over and over!!! Anyone who questions whether they should get this game DEF should!!! Its AMAZING. I personally love Roberta (I love Tor too I just really enjoy magic users) so its great for the warrior/knight or the Mage lover too!

My favorite game ever!

I personally have been around Neopets for over eight years. When this game was released, I wasn't actually able to get a chance to play it until three more years! Since I'm speaking as a long time Neopian, I understand the concept of this game better than someone who doesn't play Neopets, But I'm sure that it'll be entertaining for both groups!
First off, wonderful voice acting. The actor of Tormund nailed the role. Roberta's actress did grand as well. It was very convincing, and full of emotion.
I absolutely love the storyline and characters. Tor and Roberta are both in their late teens. Tor dreams of being a knight of Meridell one day but is held back with his life of a simple farm boy, until one day that he gets to deliver a package all the way to Meridell and hears about recruitment for Meridell squires. Roberta wants to be a great sorceress but is forced into diplomacy per royal line, so she secretly learns magic from her mentor who is a sorcerer. Both meet up, finding that eachother posess a special amulet gifted to them previously, and Roberta was told to find its twin, which is Tor. Through meeting eachother, their characters develop, such as Roberta being able to tell King Hagan face to face that she doesn't feel diplomacy is how her life should go with the help of Tor. Another great story element is the discovery of the lost city of Altador, which was cursed to disappear with the Darkest Faerie in stone.
I absolutely love the music in this! It's very catchy, but not annoying at all. It has an adventure feeling to it, which is great because this is an adventure game!
Of course, actual gameplay is the important part. You can play as either Tor or Roberta, and wander around in all sorts of areas and explore. There are all sorts of side quests that are fun to do along the adventure, and the possibilities of places you can go and people you can talk to seem endless! The only downside is, I wish there was an option for two player mode with Tor and Roberta. I rarely play games alone; I perfer playing games with my sister! I wish I was able to play this with my sister, but instead if I want to play with her, I play and she watches while we give commentary, or vice versa.
And, for those out there who may not even know what Neopets is, don't let that title make you put it down in the store! Although it's more fun if you know backstories of classic Neopets characters such as Illusen and Fyora, it isn't essensial for gameplay. This game is EPIC. Strange hearing the word "epic" attached to "Neopets", huh? I'm completely serious. It's an all ages game for a reason. Kids will enjoy the colorful graphics, and those older than kids will love the grand plotline.
Hope you enjoy The Darkest Faerie as much as I did!
