Created by Sony Computer Entertainment Japan, Ape Escape Academy expands the popular Ape Escape series onto the PSP (PlayStation Portable) entertainment system. Family- friendly, Ape Escape Academy will feature ad hoc wireless functionality and more than 40 mini-games for players of all ages. The mini-games are arranged at random in a tic-tac-toe format that provides distinctive and unique game progression that allows for easy pick up and play gaming. Specter has failed over and over again in his attempts at taking over the world, all because of a few inept apes. To rectify his problem, he decides to form the Ape Escape Academy, where he, serving as principal, will train apes to follow his will. In this story-driven mini-game collection, players can work their way up through six school years by winning wacky mini-games. Be sure to keep an eye on your classmates - students they may be, but when it comes to trouble and disobedience, these monkeys are pros.

When my little brother bought this game, he bought it because he likes monkeys and he likes cutesy games that appeal to his age group (5-7). this game is not for said age group. On, the contrary, it is so difficult it is likey to frustrate 5 year old to the point of damaging his gaming equiptment. The difficulty of this game has given me and the rest of my family a headache on many occasions. other than that, it's a fairly good game the graphics aren't bad, but could improve. The controls are perfect for the psp, simple yet intuitive. The sound. The sound in itself isn't the problem, the clarity is good and the special effects are fantastic. Which leaves the content. Now, I'm not everyone, but unless you don't mind half the game being high pitched screechy, well, ... screeching, along with taunting dialogue when you lose, youre gonna wat to leave the sound off on this one. overal it's an ok game, just very very annoying, very very frustrating, and very very not worth it.
