This game is for anyone who loves swords and monsters, I couldn't stop playing this game for 2 years. Now that's long even for me. For $20 this game is totally worth the money, so I say get this game if you want to have fun with a sword.

Shadow of the colossus is an expiriance that brings gaming to whole nother emotional and deep level. Its games like these that give me hope that video games arent just about blood, killing, shooting, violence, and pontlessness (like some titles that are out in the present day), but an emotional journey and masterpiece(that could be considered art) that challenges not only your mind but the very way you see life. Its developers like these that can really stir up emotions inside of you just from the graphics and visuals itself. This game is truly ONE OF A KIND. There is no one game similar to it that i have yet to come across. It is one of the those hit and miss titles that we rarely see any game come close to, in feeling and depth. From the natural and earthy temple walls to the beastly details on each colossi, this game truly feels like a painting brought to life. Its awe-inspiring music and deep story is enough to stir up emotions, emotions that i had never experianced in a game before. just like any other game there are errors, but the beauty and artistic vision of the game makes the error almost unnoticable. Yes it is a short game, and yes some people down right hate it. But if you call your-self a "gamer" and are truly are one, then you must have this classic title sitting on your shelf.

Couldn't have said it better myself and that's why this is my favorite game of all time. Shadow of the Colossus isn't, like you said an original title but one which captivates you into it, letting you see the beauty of it unfold before you. This game is a work of art unlike any you will ever see. If you've played this game and liked it, I recommend you play "Ico and pre-order The Last Guardian."

One of the best games of all time and one of my favorites. Stellar in nearly every way. Where do I even start? The amazing graphics that can still hold up in 2011? The epic soundtrack? The innovative and challenging gameplay? The beautiful story with just the right amount of vague elements left open to interpretation by the gamer? The breathtaking sense of scale that makes the colossi feel lifelike? The stunning art design and environment that floors any of the series' of random clutter that populates most of today's gaming world? The only flaw I can think of is the camera. That's it. Everything else in SOTC is expertly polished and designed. This game is an epic, emotional, artistic journey with great gameplay to back it up. It's unique and there's nothing like it. Forgive the long length of this review buts that's just how much I love this game. If you even think that you are a gamer, than you need this game in your collection. Also, it's the perfect retort for people who think that games don't qualify as an art form.
