Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords

View Back of Box Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords is a brand new, genre-bending title that ups the ante on traditional puzzle games by incorporating strategy, role-playing elements and a persistent storyline. Set in the Warlords universe, the game challenges players to save the land of Etheria from evil Lord Bane as gamers engage in battles fought by means of competitive, head-to-head "match-three" style puzzle games in one of three gameplay modes: Single-player, Instant Action or Multiplayer. Victory will advance a player's customisable hero, magical arsenal, creature companions and more - ultimately rewarding gamers at nearly every turn and deepening their immersion into the richly diverse world. The game's remarkable mix of classic puzzle gameplay and an abundant suite of characters, customisations, spells, companions, tameable monsters and more provides a fresh take on the puzzle genre that offers endless hours of replayability. Designed specifically for handheld gaming systems, Puzzle Quest can be enjoyed in long or short doses, cultivating a casual but deeply satisfying and compelling gameplay experience.

I say this is an awesome game because, well for one, it is not difficult to get started. I am an addict of RPG games, so when I picked this game up it is because I just recently beat the Nintendo DS version.. I like the feeling it gives when I level up as if I was playing a real type of RPG game. And when I hit combos and got used to being tactful in my choices I felt, well to put it short, Smart..lol. This game was and is very relaxing to play as well. If ya lose a battle you just try again or go onto another path.. I am not a person who normally puts down my feelings on a game on a web site. But I loved this puzzle/RPG game..I lost my game in the house somewhere and have come to the conclusion that I need a replacement disc. As this game takes me to another place when I played it.. Toned out the problems of the day! That is what I mean by going to another place.. Well to put it short, If u like bejeweled, and story line games or other puzzle games as such, You will love this game.. Ordering my replacement right now!..

Be careful if you're colorblind

I wanted to like the DS version, I really did, but it was just too frustrating. This was due to one simple aspect - colors. I am Red/Green colorblind, and unfortunately, two of the most commonly used colors in puzzle games (yellow and light green) look identical to me. Yes, this game includes symbols as well, but they don't jump out like colors do. The parts I was able to play were great, though. So, do not get this if colorblind, definitely DO if you aren't.

I originally bought this game for the DS,Loved it, played it for days on end, and I was not really into puzzle style games. THEN a year later bought and played it (online) on X Box live, the experience paid off with the multiplayer mode oinline with X box Live. I still kept the DS version and play it while on the road. There is a bit mopre of a 'castle romantic' style to the DS version. Having owned it for almost 2 years now, it just never gets old. After finishing it as onecharacter type, I restart asa another all together. It is one of my top 5 fav games of ANYKING and all times. Even people who aren't into either puzzle type games OR RPG games, have taken to this one, once they've tried mine. Give it a try before you judge it, it will surprise you.

Instant-Classic Puzzle Game

Looks very similar to the Xbox 360 Live Arcade version, visually. Control wise it'll prolly mimic the DS version almost to the T. Very good combination there, I have both those said versions and they're both excellent. This game would make an EXCELLENT holiday present to puzzle fans. So long as they can get past the rather stiff learning curve, compared to far simpler games like Bejeweled and Tetris.

Great DS Game

This game is great on the DS and now I am playing the PC version. I think using a mouse would be a lot easier rather than the WiiMote as their are points when you are playing against time and the mouse control is perfect. If they can get good control for the WiiMote, the game should be a big seller.

Will it be different?

This could be cool, the DS and PSP versons were cool. A nice mix of puzzle and RPG. If they add some cool Wii fetures it could turn out to be a fun game to play. I'm looking forward to hearing more about this one.

This was a great game on the DS. I played it from start to finish and have now begun playing the PC version, so I doubt I will purchase the Wii version as well due to it probably being the same game as the PC.
