DECENT SINGLE PLAYER, INCREDIBLY FUN MULTIPLAYER
PostedMay 31, 2008
The multiplayer in TimeShift is without a doubt the best aspect of the game. It's just so incredibly addicting and fun and i had an absolute blast with it. As long as people continue playing multiplayer on line i don't see myself stopping anytime soon. You would also think that the time powers (slow, pause, and rewind) would completely throw the multiplayer off balance but Saber Interactive did a phenomenal job with balancing the powers just right. The only negative i can possibly think of when it come to multiplayer would be the modes as there your regular standard modes. Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and Capture the Flag. They do have 2 other modes called King of Time and Meltdown, both which are just different enough and fun enough that they don't just feel like cheap add ons but with the inclusion of the time powers they make these standard modes incredibly fun. Trust me, this is the mode that you'll get the most bang for your buck and easily worth buying the game for. The single player story mode is definitely the weakest part of TimeShift. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing particularly bad about it, it's just that it's pretty forgettable and the way the story is told doesn't really make sense. On top of that the time powers aren't used for anything really creative as the puzzles that do involve your powers are RIDICULOUSLY EASY to figure out. Like i said, it's definitely not bad, just once you're done it's easily forgettable. Seriously though, multiplayer is where this game is at, and in my personal opinion it comes through in spades. Overall i give the game an 8.5.

Too difficult?
PostedMay 24, 2008
Timeshift is an awesome game that focus's on you, a scientist with a mysterious and hidden past. You were recruited by Dr. Krone, a prestigious and renowned scientist, and along with other scientists you research quantum physics. After two working time travel suits are made, Krone takes a suit and betrays the team, blows up the research facility killing everyone, but you, who put on the other suit before the explosion. You travel back in time to find your betrayer. The game starts here, with you joining a group of rebels to take down Krone. The game is incredibly awesome, the graphics and responses are great. However, the difficulty is questionable. Most of the time, you can't figure out where you need to go, even with a mini map at the top of the screen. All in all it's a good game, but the difficulty is a little questionable.
