I got this game along with the 1st and 2nd DMC about four days ago. It is so danged cool! Hack and slash style action and a story line that will keep you from putting down the remote for hours. And, for an older game, the graphics are stunning.
Because of the Mature rating, this game isn't for everyone, but there is nothing overly inappropriate in this game, which I liked. I am certainly getting DMC 4 (and a PS3) and DMC 5 when it comes out.
Oh, and another thing, this game is different than the DMC 3; after you beat Dante's story, you get to play as his older twin brother Vergil. And, there is also an extra fighting mode, the Bloody Palace.

Just wanted to make an edit on the review I wrote; DMC 3 SE is awesome, but DMC 5 looks horrible! Capcom always ends up messing up a good series... :(
Stick with DMCs 1, 2, 3, 3 SE and 4.
That's all.

A Good Challenge for Any Real Gamers

This game isn't for the faint of heart. This game keeps you on your toes wondering what will happen next. Having beaten the game on just the Normal difficulty was a challenge, and I've played through the game once before. The game is surly a challenge if your looking for one, the game keeps getting really hard. The game hopefully doesn't leave you room for failure you need to be attentive. There's twenty levels in all and each one is a fun experience. This game is the first one in the correct order of the games, hence the games title Dante's Awakening. The correct order of the games is DMC 3, DMC 1, DMC 4, and lastly DMC 2. Play in that order and the story fits together, obviously 4 is on the 360. If you plan on buying this game be ready for a challenge people!!!! HAHA GOOD LUCK!!!!! (oh yeah be careful against your brother Vergil hes gonna be a tough one... Tips: Level all your styles up to 3. Level Ebony & Ivory to 3. Look for blue orb fragments. Get the Devil Trigger up as much as possible. Buy all the Blue Orbs from the shop, Purple Orbs, and some Gold Orbs just for safety. Until next time -- WolfX18

Great but sad news

I played the first mission with Dante and it was all good, but when I started the second mission, the screen turned blank and froze
When I skipped Vergils first gameplay cutscene, the game froze. The game was defective. Very disappointing. Gamestop needs to test its games and handle it with care.
