Devil May Cry 3 boasts in practically every aspect. The battle system is top-notch, and the story is interesting and fresh. However, the special edition of Devil May Cry 3 does not add much to what was already available. The most notable addition is Vergil as a playable character. He is lacking in available weapons, doesn't follow unique levels that compliment his story, and only has one fighting style. Aside from this, players will still enjoy playing as Vergil and seeing more of his story through cutscenes within the game. Other additional features such as Bloody Palace which is very challenging survival mode, pitting the player against constant waves of enemies, and the turbo speed option add a bit more replay value to the game. Overall Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition does a great job at being the equivalent of DLC for a PS2 title.

Devil May Cry 1 and 2 to me not that fun but, this prequel is amazing and the mode where you play as Vergil is way too fun. This is a must buy game for mature lovers.
When I first bought this game,I thought that it would suck.Until I saw how f---ing awesome it was!The good part about this game are the stylish weapons.Its a mix of demonic element and modernized weaponry.Some people say that the Original and the Special versions are the same,they were dead wrong! After you beat the game normally,you get to play as your nemesis! I'd recommend this game to you children for Christmas.(If they like bloody action!)

when my cousin let me borrow this game I thought this could be fun. well it wasn't really fun. At the beginning all you do is fight demons and your weapons are weak I think a shot a demon 1,000 time with the pistol for it to die. And Dante is making the same noise when he slashes some one with his sword. He goes 'hu hu huw' with his sword every time I played till the second level then stopped. The good things are the new moves and the new weapons that's all. I would consider this a below a OK game.

You got a sword bigger than your body that can cleave them in half after five slashes and you're running around with your pistols like a 'tard. Think about that for a minute, they aren't humans you can't put one between the eyes and expect the beast to die. The pistols are used as a way to keep your combo going without it dropping while you walk over. "Hu hu huw"? The guy carries around a full metal blade bigger than his body, lift something like that and try not to say something. Name a good game in which the main character doesnt make a sound when he swings his sword. Shadow of the Colossus, Legend of zelda (all of them). You gave the gameplay a ten and say its boring? Keep your score consistent with what you say. People, the game is ten bucks, try it, worst case scenario you spent ten bucks on a 20 hours of gameplay. Best case scenario (like me) you rebuy the game several times and play it forever! Every difficulty every costume, the special edition includes 9999 floors of blood gore and killing s--t. A extra set of boss fights, extra unlockable costumes, plus play as Vergil (the only dmc where he isnt a reference or dead) and his unique class Darkslayer. If you like DMC 4 you should play this, if you played DMC one or two this is probably TOO different from the norm for you.
