The Buttons Won't Stop Sticking
PostedAugust 15, 2014
I actually purchased this product a few years ago. I had only one controller and I thought to myself, "hey, why get another so I can finally have friends over to play?" At the time, I had the choice of either the default controller for $60 or this one for ~$20. Despite how GameStop suggests not mentioning the price for a good review, I won't lie, I got this one because I was on a budget. I'm sure many of you are looking at this for you or your kids for just that reason. Sadly, this particular controller did not last long. After a week of owning it the buttons started to stick and slowly pop back out. I thought not much of it and I carried on using my main controller. Down the road from there I picked up Super Meat Boy, a game with lots of jumping like Mario for all you older people out there, on my computer for I got accustomed to PC gaming. I remembered I had this controller and plugged it in. Everything was going well and then the A button started to stick. Sticky A button means I won't be able to jump and that is the whole premise of the game. Jumping. Just like that, poor little meat boy died. I tried the level again, same issue. Then again, and again, and again... Several years pass by with me casually trying this controller in hopes that the buttons would stop sticking; but they never cease. The A, X, Y, and B buttons all get stuck constantly! The LB button doesn't even let me press it in anymore! As of late I've been trying to get started with fighting games on my computer and remembered I had this old controller. I've never been more irritated at trying to pull off a simple combo. So irritated that I decided it would be wise to warn others that if they really need a new controller they should buy something with a lot more quality. I can't even bother scoring it a 2 out of 10 because it does not fulfill the advertised function of being a working controller. All in all, do your research and buy something else.

Just Pay The Extra $15.00
PostedSeptember 27, 2012
I purchased this controller because I was trying to save some money and the offical xbox 360 controller by microsoft was a little more than I wanted to pay for a controller. The first couple of days I used the controller it seemed fine. You don't need to spend money on batteries because the controller comes with a nice length cord. Also the controller seemed to be built strurdy and it felt comfortable in my hands. But after the first few days the controller started showing its true colors. The y,a,b buttons seem to stick some(especially the a). When you press one of these buttons it just doesn't feel like 100% spring when it pops back up. It might not be that bad with some games but this problem will eventually be noticed with other games. I played Sonic Generations with this controller and it was a pain. I sometimes need to press the a(jump button) mutiple times within a short period to jump from platform to platform with sonic. The button will usually stick down some and not pop back immediately. This problem makes simple jumping annoying and a chore in sonic generations. I also have problems using this controller with gears of war 2. I need to use the a button a lot in that game and it sticks to much . I never feel comfortable doing rolls or taking cover because I don't know if the button will pop back up immediately. I would NOT recommend this controller to anyone because some of the buttons stick and are not responsive enough even if they don't stick. It will become a chore to do simple things in games if you use this controller. Just pay the extra $15.00 and get the xbox 360 microsoft controller.

Worth the low price.
PostedJune 6, 2012
It might be different than the microsoft brand wired or wireless controllers, but is very much worth the $25. I've dropped it many times, and it has held up better than my more expensive ones every did. It's a great buy for those who are looking for a cheap, but reliable replacement for your microsoft controllers. Another thing, it is very easy to get used to the change, and I don't have any complaints about layout or feel. Thanks Gamestop!

Overall Feel
PostedMay 4, 2012
This controller has a very akward feel to it, the triggers are different along with the shape and size of the controller. Before I used a wireless controller for 2 years before it broke and this was my backup. The up side to it, you get used to it very fast.
