This controller was fine for like a month. Then, all of a sudden, the left control stick got messed up with not even a month having it. Horribly constructed and not good control sticks at all. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

Not for precision gaming.

Just purchased this controller from a local GameStop in town an hour ago. While my review is mainly off the time that I got home and started playing a game and comparing it to a Microsoft branded 360 controller that I've had for around 9 months now. Design-wise, it mimics a Microsoft controller pretty well with the awkward location of the "Back" and "start" buttons. I cannot say anything about the microphone, or messenger pad as I don't utilize these (PC Gamer. Bought for PC to play on PC.) In terms for using on PC - I have had no issues plugging in my new controller into my laptop (Running Win8) and playing games such as Warframe, Borderlands 2, Grand Theft Auto 4, Saint's Row: The Third to list a few.Buttons are reactive, however they produce a very notable "click" while playing - the sticks especially. The sticks themselves both have an obvious deadzone - meaning just nudging the sticks in some games to get that precise shot will not be possible as you have to exceed the zone for the game to respond to the stick movement (NOT present in the MS brand). With that said, can mean the difference between (in most cases) a kill in a FPS/3PS, or say, bad timing because of the non-responsiveness of the sticks until exceeding that threshold. For non-3PS/FPS games that don't require such precision, this controller I would recommend, otherwise you're better off with a MS brand or similar.

It was ok...for 4 months

I have a wireless controller from Microsoft, but it kept running out of batteries, so i decided to get a new wired controller. I saw this one and the cheap price and wanted it badly. Before I got this controller I read the reviews, and decided to test the controller out, even though the reviews were saying horrible things about the controller. But since it was cheap, i decided ' oh what the heck, im buying this' when i got this, it was working great for a good 4 months, but with the occasional unresponsive sprint button, but that was it. Then, the horrors started happening. Now, when the controller lets me sprint in a game like CoD, which is 50% of the time, my character automatically aims down sight afterwards. It gets very annoying to run, stop, run, stop and it gives the opponents an advantage. Also the l-trigger is much to sensitive now. I cant even put my finger on the L-trigger without it aiming down sight, and for a quick-scoper like me, that gives me like a half-second delay which is extremely important. Now, the most annoying of all, the controller will just shoot randomly out of nowhere, which gives a way my position, and when playing something like zombies, wastes precious ammo until its all gone. So, this controller proved to be a temporary controller and a waste of money. So if you want one that is temporary, then get this controller, but if your a hard-core gamer then save yourself the trouble and just get the Microsoft brand or a rechargeable battery pack(i haven't tested those out yet so I don't know if they work good). My wireless controller from Microsoft hasn't disappointed me like this ever, except for the battery dying in mid-game but that's my fault for not getting new batteries. All in all, just get a REAL controller. it'll save you all the frustration that I had.

It works great, but...
PostedNovember 10, 2013
I bought this controller because mine were old, they rattled, and I was sick of wasting batteries. At first it was great but then problems started emerging. It begun to rattle whenever it vibrated and the port doesn't work with my headset because it buzzes when it vibrates and the person I was in a party with heard a constant buzzing (I have a red samurai gaming headset). This problem isn't necessarily the controller's fault because my headset has a thicker connection port. I returned my first one for another, which had the same problems. Besides these problems the controller worked great, the sticks worked great and gave the controller a nice floating feeling. I'm going to try the actual Xbox 360 brand controller next and will review that one also.
