favorite game in the world

omg this is the best freakin game ever. although it isn't veryb popular, i don't see why, but its my favorite. I don't understand the people who hate it, I noticed one review who said it wasn't even in english. well, in fact, its in gibberish. lol. there are some games in which they don't talk at all i guess its just the type of game. i was strongly considering emailing the makers of the game and suggesting that they could possibly make an okami 2. the storyline was wonderful and the controls were easy once you get the hang of it but once you defeat oni island its pretty much the end of the game which really sucks.. very humorous game for those over the age of 12 and who understand our world population, such as drinking and cause/effect....stuff like that. i recommend this game...very highly ^_^

Okami is a beautiful game on the PS2. Probably the most beautiful that I have ever seen. If it were not a game, I would say that its probably one of the most exquisitely hand-crafted edo-style pieces that I have ever seen, as well. The game play is really smooth, too. No lagging and the animation is flawless. The storyline is unique in that you play as a white wolf with the power to utilize the forces of nature in order to save ancient Japan from a reign of darkness. And its such a fun game that I am on my third round of completing it once again. The minigames are just as addictive as Kingdom Hearts' minigames, and the soundtrack is just as, maybe even more amazing as/than Kingdom Hearts' CD. I mean, I have literally done nothing and just sat down and listened to Ayaka Hirahara's song and Waka's theme for long periods of time. lol

okami is awesome.the beginning is stupid because issun,the wandering artist talks 24/7!but the middle is fine. the enemy confrontations on the other hand are easy and fun.the bosses can be hard though.the celestial brush can be very fun,there are 13 brush technuiqes cherry bomb,sun rise,power slash,bloom, and more.the game does a bad job at explaining what to do but eventually issun gives u hints and whatevers important is written in red or it is recorded in u'r log book.the sidequests range from digging up turnips in a guys garden,fishing for sea creatures,feeding wandering animals,reviving guardian saplings, and cleansing cursed landmarks.the graphics are amazing it looks like something i would probably draw.u will meet many people in the game.but u will probably want to rent okami first ir get it for the wii.

Fantastic Zelda influences game

I finally beat Okami this thxgiving and have to say this game is GREAT! it took me 40 hrs to beat, and thats with me doing the storyline and maybe 1/2 of the sidequests. The graphics are beautiful with its colorful cell shaded environment. When i started, knowing it was Zelda influenced, prepared for some difficult puzzles, but instead found its not too much of a puzzle rpg, and the few it had were quite simple. The controls were nice and loved the Celestial Brush techniques and the weapons you get throughout the game. The story was great too, i got really pulled into it and loved the ending. This game was simply just one of the best rpgs i have ever played and highly recommend it to any rpg fan.The only negative thing i can say about it is that sometimes when using the Celestial Brush to get past some minute puzzle is a little unclear on how or what youre exactly supposed to do. I mainly had this issue just in the beginning and middle part of the game, but eventually it was common sense and simple. I gave this game a 10/10 because it earned it and im looking forward to replaying it with my items from my previous cleared game. Do yourself a favor and get this game if you can find it.
